One Thing we felt in the game away at Cardiff was that for them, it was a welcome break from their league programme. Their league form over the last month or so hasn't been at the level it was at the start of the season but you wouldn't have noticed that against us.

I think 0-0 was a fair result at Ninian Park, we had more possession and two good chances for Jermain Defoe but arguably they had the best chance when Michael Chopra went through in the first half and Paul Robinson did well to come out and put him off his stride.

Their level of performance was good and we expected that. It was home game for them, a passionate crowd and we have to make sure that all the things that benefited them are now in our favour on Wednesday night.

Across midfield, Stephen McPhail, on the ball, is a very good passer, especially going forward and will give the front men a good supply. Willo Flood did well, he was always a threat and worked hard up and down the line.

Up front, I thought Steve Thompson did well, a typical, old-fashioned centre forward who is an all-round player but does particularly well in the air. Alongside that is the threat of Chopra with his pace and ability and Joe Ledley is a player they regard very highly.

They also need experience in there and in the likes of Darren Purse and Ricky Scimeca they have that in the spine of the team.

The added incentive for us is that if we win, we have another home tie in the fourth round. I would like to see us continue the offensive side of our play against Newcastle on Sunday and all the positives from that - hopefully we will be able to create chances again.

It will be another big crowd and I just hope we can make progress into the next round.
