This article suggests Lloris has been making the case to Levy that he wants to move on. But there's not much insight here and most of the context we could have written ourselves.

Read the full article at Hytner at The Guardian

Hytner got in early on the Modric and Bale moves, so this may have legs.

Seems fair enough to me, he's playing under his third manager now and he's seen the club with no scouting network wasting millions hand over fist. Don't blame him.

Hugo most probably thinks more of Spurs than some of these so called fans above!

If/when Lloris does leave, I hope it's amicable done quickly and not drawn out for the last penny.

As great a keeper Lloris is, he can be replaced imo.

I think a steady 7.5 out of 10 keeper like Begovic will do just fine thank you. Loris is a good keeper but if we are too dependant on keepers we have bigger defensive problems.

Ever since I supported Spurs, we've had a fine line of goalkeepers: Brown, Jennings, Clemence and now Lloris. Hope he doesn't leave, and if he does, we go for someone real good.

Oh God, it's started.
Got to laugh at the dislike ratings on posts above. I think its safe to say no Spurs fan fkin likes the idea of Lloris going but to think he'll want to stay if a decent offer with CL football comes along just because.... because.... no, I got nothing, well that's just kidding yourself.
I dislike this. But it is what it is.

Making him captain wouldn't make a bit of difference imo.
And Vorm is a bloody good keeper. Just remember he's rusty as fk at the moment but at Swansea he was the nuts.

Im not saying vorm is crap i just think too replace hugo in goal you need someone in his league. The only name i can think that is world class is cech at chelsea If in the summer.Making someone skipper makes them feel good that the manager and the owner think highly important him.Being a skipper was a mark of respect back in the days i dont known how players feel now

Yep. They are not Spurs supporters. I mean, I'm sure they're fond of the club and will watch us and want us to win in the future, but they do not have the same bond/commitment as we fans do.
Even Hoddle left for something new. And he is a lifelong Spurs supporter!

None of us could blame him if he did leave, that is for sure.

Far too good for us.
I don't want to hit agree but I see your point. For a player like him we need to be at least getting close to the champions league and this season we were never in the race. I hope he stays but if no that we can get a fortune to strengthen the rest of the squad including a back up for Vorm who I think will be a decent replacement.

I've been less worried about this eventuality since he's been injured. Vorm has been a decent stand-in; very decent.

The way to move on from Hugo is to get a defence that isn't shit. We don't quite need a GK as good as Hugo but for the fact it papers over the awful defence we have. If that makes sense...

Agree.
What worries me is I don't think its the quality of our defenders so much as what appears to be a total lack of communication and understanding of responsibility.
Thats down to Poch to implement and I've seen no evidence of it at all.
We're all over the bloody place and the mistakes we're seeing aren't down to the midfield imo, its individual clangers and ball watching that seems to be biggest problem.
Debate for another thread really but saw a window for a moan lol.

Question is, perhaps, does this make Hugo a good shot stopper, but fecking awful at communicating with his defenders?

Are the two events independent? I don't recall Big Brad or The Octopus having as many issues with the defence (yes, King was there, but so was Kaboul?)
