60m is tempting. We could sign Pickford who’s distribution is 100x better than Lloris.

Problem is Everton would probably ask 100m for Pickford.
Not sure where we could go for a replacement. Oblak would be same kind of fee.
I liked Cho Hyun-woo at the World Cup, but big risk.

Probably a bullshit story though.
Pickford kicked out of touch so many times in the world cup!

I find this really interesting.

I love Hugo. He's an outstanding goalkeeper but I really, really struggle with the idea that he's not somehow upgradeable. We've seen with Ederson what having a goalkeeper with fabulous distribution can add to a side. There were times when Man City were playing with 11 outfield players last season - he was that good. So to look at Hugo, outstanding shot-stopper but a guy whose kicking is really not very good, and say you wouldn't swap him for anyone is very curious to me.

Is this myth still getting peddled?

Ederson dropped some major bollocks last season too.

But to reiterate, there is no one that we could afford who would upgrade a world cup winning goalkeeper.

Hugo is our captain, who just won the World cup and had a pretty good tournament... there is more than just distribution - it's his presence and importance for the team, the manager and the project

Would reject an offer of course, but as a side note Navas is an excellent Gk.

Its pretty ridiculous RM are looking for a Gk. But they have to have their superstars. Like it or not if courtois doesn't go there, Lloris will probably be 2nd choice.

They should be balls-deep for De Gea
