Arrogance and stubbornness seem the hallmarks of todays Spurs managers. A worrying trend if Tim is like that as it seems right now, but its early days so hopefully he's just learning the ropes

Whats worrying is Dim Tim showed how stubborn he is. We needed to switch it up and he only used a sub cause Ade was injured. Kept Nabil, Aaron on the pitch i think to make a point. Bentaleb for some reason is undroppable and un-subbable. He's shown a lack of adaptability too. I was hoping he would learn as every game went on. Looks like his arrogance and stubbornness rules.

Different manager, same shit then.

I'm trying man, but your kinda hampering me.

As for saying I should support a team that never loses, that's just below the belt and completely unnecessary. I can take a defeat, but I can't take being told that my opinion about our performance or that we shouldn't be disappointed is not worthy of being aired.

You can't seem to take the fact that we are in poor shape more than I. We should be aiming for more. Not just accepting our fate. Maybe you should go support Fulham.

But a draw is out of the question i guess by reading your post?.

I have just watched Barca murder Valencia and yet they lost, shit happens and the PL ain't no cake walk anymore either. That is unless Levy has suddenly found 500 million to spend on the cream of football. Once you understand that we are exactly what we are which is a higher mid-table side then be my guest and vent your spleen about so called piss poor performances. "Expecting to win" is the average Spurs default thought process rather than one of considering that "lower league" sides just do not roll over an die anymore.

Thinking that a sort of LVG or some other exotic sounding manager would turn this team around in six weeks really is pure fantasy. Perhaps you'd like to a manager on a quarterly contract so that we can just take a straw poll among season ticket holders? A sort of Levy's Big Brother Show?

Finally if you truly think that we are in "piss poor shape" then just where were you when that other lunatic was trying to run the team?

How cool would of it been if we could of brought on Berbatov today....the quality and composure to score or set up a winner I reckon.

Was just sitting here thinking exactly that. What an option he would have been to have on the bench if ade or soldado wern't firing. He might not have been consistently outstanding but I find it hard to believe he wouldn't have provided some quality moments that would have led to a few extra points & excitement. Shame.

Yesterday there were 2 problems

i) Constant hoofing of the ball. While Ade could get to first ball on some occasion, second ball never fell to Eriksen or Soldado. At times all 3 couldnt hold the ball. Dawson the prime culprit.

ii) Walker-Lennon overlaps were near Zero. But drifted central, when there was no need. We never stretched Hull to give Eriksen to get into pockets. This also meant that Hull kept on putting diagonals for Jelavic & Long and with Walker being out of position for most occasion meant our 2 CBs were under constant pressure.

IMO, its time Dawson & Lennon are benched for time being. Ideally want to see Townsend or Lamela down the wings. If they arent available, I would rather stick Naughton in RW & Walker RB OR play 3-5-2 with Walker & Rose as wing backs with 3 CBs (Kaboul, Chiriches, Vertonghen).

I am getting that impression as well. He seem to want to go against anything that makes sense or would be the norm, an arrogance which got AVB nowhere.

You guys do realise that Liverpool, the team that has one of the best players in the world on fire right now, playing the football of their lives, lost 3-1 at Hull not long ago, and are only 2 (maybe 5) points above us at 4th.

And we have changed manager and are appearantly in crisis according to some on here.

Thought we did OK - Tim is still coping the normal flak as every Spurs manager does for one reason or another. For me he is learning on the job, which does make him very vulnerable to cheap shot from 'followers' and the press.

Hull are no pushovers, like most teams in the EPL.

Soldado is having a bad time ATM, yes but come on people continually getting on his back does little good.
I really dont understand people who do not get behind the team and players.
Some of you do need to grows some backbone and stop continually emphasizing the negative 24/7, it does nothing but make you look like media following sheep.

We were not great yesterday but a point away is rarely a bad result in the scheme of things.
Give me fans that understand the ebb and flow of the game any day of the week - much better than some of the 'wheres is our sugar daddy?' mob.

Just absolutely baffled as to why we made no subs until the 88th minute.

Completely baffled.

We were playing fine in second half so other than an injury swap like the Kane one, which was forced on Tim, I could not see much point.

Who would you have changed?

Who would you have changed?

Players were fatigued - many had played against city 3 days before.

One of the cm for Capoue.

Chadli on for Lennon (or soldado)

With these fresh legs in the last 20 mins or so we would have had a better chance of keeping the pressure up.

Would largely agree other than the subs which I have mentioned

I see the Lennon one, he looked like he had Chadli's boots on all game, all over the place. He and Walker both looked out of salts.
I think its these calls can be made easily from where we sit. But there are myriad of reasons he, Tim, may not of wanted to. Niggles, knocks and hangovers, to name but a few.

Possibly but then he needs to deal with that.

Sorry, on that point I am not swayed. No subs was a mistake from TS imo

I have always liked Lennon, but recently his has frustrated the life out of me.

He won't take his fullback on, can't seem to make the 5 yard passes go to their target and always looks for the easy way out, passing on the attacking responsibility to someone else.

Also there are times I wonder if our players train together at all. So many passes going astray. We don't seem to play as a team but a collection of players who want to make themselves look good without regard for the team performance. Maybe I am wrong, it just feels like that.

Quite agree. I am a big fan of the old Lennon under Redknapp when he would skip to the byline like it was nothing, nowadays he seems too scared to take anyone on even though there probably isn't a full back who can match his pace still.

On another note, Ade really frustrated me yesterday and made me remember how bad he can be. Been great the last few weeks but there was at least 6/7 passes that went straight to a Hull player.... when there were much easier options!
