Yes folks, love him or hate him, he's back

Hull know that against a side like Tottenham, who will be aiming for the top six, a point would be a good result.

They were a bit unlucky to concede so late against Chelsea and they troubled them when they were allowed to.

Tottenham struggled away from home last season, I expect that to improve with Sebastien Bassong looking good on his debut and I think they can come away with a point.

    Verdict: 1-1

HOW DID LAWRO DO LAST TIME?

    <!-- S ICOL --> Lawro's prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Liverpool

    Actual result: Tottenham 2-1 Liverpool

think we will take the game 1-0. gives us six points going into the game vs hammers
  2. littlemandefoe
Will Negredo be making his debut? Hope not!
  3. Garm
Has he signed for them yet?
  4. frosteye
Would be typical of us to beat Liverpool and then go and lose to Hull!

Although Id take 4 from the next 2 games....pref 3 against the Hammers!

I'm hoping with Harry as manager we can pick up more away points. We're much stronger than them in all departments, not that this always means that much.

    1-0 Spurs

Not the easiest of away games, but we should be able to contain them. They looked rather weak in midfield against Chel$ki so hopefully Wilson and co. can dominate with Crouchy looking to play the hold up role upfront.

    2-1 spurs
  7. JonnySpurs
Negredo hasn't even been over for talks yet and rumours in Spain are that he's now gonna sign for Zaragoza (i think) so dunno, i'd prefer if we didn't have to play against him

I can't see any problems for us here, reckon we'll win comfortably.

    2-0 or 3-1

    Agreed
2-0 to us if all goes well

3-1 if Gomes decides to go Walkabout again

1-1 for me, think they will score first

2-0 sounds right. If Harry watched them carefully he'll know who to avoid and who to close down.

    They seriously lack creativity.

This game looks easier after beating Liverpool, if we hadn't the 2 away games would have been really tough.

I expect us to get at least 4 points from the next 2 games

I think they seriously lack in a lot of areas of the pitch.

They are a long ball counter attacking side that will do well away from home. Fortunately we now have the players that can play a number of styles. We can play through them, we can play over them, play it short and long, we can get around them, we can run at teams, we got players who can shoot from distance, we've got poachers, we can hang it up in the box.

I trust that Harry plays the right team to beat the opposition. The team he put out against Liverpool proved that.

Eg: Liverpool's defence are not reknowned for their pace or agilty but will always challenge in the air. So Harry played Defoe and Keane and got the team going through Modric and playing on the ground to cause them maximum trouble. This culminated in Keane having three good chances that came about by his good movement. Whilst Defoe who may not had much opportunities really pulled Srktel (sic) and Ayala all over the pitch.

In midfield, it was the same again, Liverpool dont have many CM's who have much pace. Mascherano and Lucas were always going to play. Playing Hudd was not going to be so much a gamble because he matched them for mobilty and he can show his class on the ball too.

At the back i think the best tactic is always to go with the most settled back line and with Bassong/King having everything needed to be a world class partnership I dont think even Torres was going to have a look in. Gerrard had to drop far too deep to balance out the lost of Alonso's creativity.

So what do you guys think Hull's real weaknesses are that we could pinpoint?

Dont forget we smashed them only a few weeks ago, and they havent strenghtened much, so he will know what to do !!

I expect 2-0.. cant see why we would concede.
  15. alamo
I think it is important we don't concede early. They will be wanting to get off to a flying start being the first home game of the season and with the crowd behind them we may have an early bombardment to deal with. The longer we can prevent them from scoring the more we will get into our rhythm and the more confident I will feel about us running out winners
  16. Chedozie
If we don't concede a goal and score at least one, we're bound to win.
  17. StokeSpur
were too strong in the final third to lose or draw this, 3 - 0 Spurs
  18. davidgee
we beat them away last time, be it in a diffrent country!! ;o)

    1-0 to the mighty spurs...
  19. DefoeFan
3-1 win for spurs and crouch will get his first goal for the club, Apparently he is really good at scoring on away games.
