I believe that this is the game that Juande really understands the need for new players, there is no hiding place ,he really needs to be strong and create his own defence! I expect that he will be looking for 5 new defenders(goalie included) in the January transfer window!

I'm sure that'll solve all our problems.

I see where you're coming from, but I'm pretty sure Ramos learned little from this game that he didn't already know. I think we should be taking 3 points from Birmingham City at home, although our current position suggests I should never be too confident.
If Ramos learned anythin from this game it is that we can't defend from the front. I think our midfield was too light, and the formation was inappropriate. 3 points missed and a relatively straightforward home game wasted. I am unhappy with the result.

I am unhappy with the result but I think its probably Ramo's first experience with bad luck since he took over. No way was Robbie's tackle a straight red. The ref was totally off yesterday and tbh, both penalties were way too soft. We totally dominated in attacking sense and if Berbs and Bent had been more clinical then we wouldn't have to worry even if Robbie was sent off.

Until January comes, all Ramos can do is get King/ Rocha back to replace a Kaboul who is resembling more and more like Bumbling Bramble with each game to reduce silly mistakes. Offensively, we are much stronger than before as we can attack from various channels now so as long as our defence is more stable, I'm more than confident that we can stave off relegation and climb up the table.

In fact, my greatest worry is of Bale's injury. Anyone has news on it?

I am fucking devastated with that result. We needed to win this game so badly.

From 2 games we should have had 6 points. We've somehow contrived to get 1. That is shockingly poor.

Fortress White Hart Lane is more like a Wendy House at the moment - linking to another thread, the word we dare not say came up in conversation yesterday. I'm fucking scared.

I don`t think we needed to lose 3-2 at home to Birmingham for Ramos to see whats needed, conceeding 3 goals at home to Birmingham isn`t time to be happy. Until Ramos can change personel, we must be looking to take all three points in games like that, whoever he puts on the field.

I'm sorry, but anyone that thinks that yesterday's result was a good thing needs some serious therapy.

Yesterday was a DISASTER - if we'd got the 3 points, which we should have, we'd be 3 points behin the Barcodes, up in 12th, with the top half of the table within reach. Now we are peering over our shoulder at sides in the relegation zone.

Ramos knew we had defensive frailties - he didn't need yesterday to show him that because he'd seen it in the first half last Thursday night in the UEFA Cup.

How anyone can put a positive spin on yesterday's disaster, let alone be happy with it, is beyond me entirely.

Are you just joking or really in serious?!? How can any real Spurs fan be happy when we lose?!? And Ramos very well knows what parts of the team he needs to strenghten without seeing us losing.

We have 5 defenders injured (6 now) so could they be the 5 new defenders you want?

Okay I agree with all of your views, happy was the wrong choice of word.Of course I am not happy but the point is, lets not paper over the cracks. We have the worst defensive record in the Premier league and our current lot are not going to change that.
We have gained a reputation for being totally shit at the back so any team that plays Spurs automatically think ATTACK!I honestly think that we need to clear out the lot of them,I know for sure that if I was Ramos and my very well paid job was in the hands of our defenders, that is exactly what I would do.
What is it now 3 clean sheets in 43 games, FFS Andy Gray was laughing at us yesterday! That record is atrocious and we have now had 2 very good managers who have been unable to sort out our defence. The reason therefore is simple, the players are shit, get rid of them!

I was immensely disappointed at the result, true the refereeing was absolutely horrendous during the game.

Buit in truth, although I feel we completely outplayed them throughout the game, our finishing was woeful, but the defence was disgusting, we need some solutions now, we can't keep waiting for King to come back, and expect us to save us from the mess we are in.

I keep looking at Kaboul, and now its getting to the point where I am expecting him to make a mistake like he has done, yes it was a soft penalty decision but he really lumbered in on that challenge....

I don't actually think that Robinson played too badly, at least he is now starting to move off his line and command the area. He definately did not stand a chance on that last goal.

I disagree with that view. If Spurs play like they did yesterday, and I include in that the defensive errors, they will win most games. The result was a complete travesty.

Ramos Tactics didn't help but if anyone had any doubts about just what a shambols Spurs are yesterday must have been a wake up call .

For all the large sums of money that have been spent on youngsters there is no sign that we have unearthed another Carrick or even a Lennon in terms of quality or readyness for the first team .

To get back to where we were 18 months ago we need Carrick , King and possibly Davids replacements .
The only way of doing it will be by getting into hock with the banks because the profits have been taken out in the form of dividends .

The painful truth is the problems run from the top to the playing staff and there is no quick fix .

If they don’t bring in the cavalry come January we’re fucked. The defensive line up needs a player with real authority and experience. Kaboul for me is a big worry, he’s clearly not ready for the premier league, the amount of errors he is making is extremely worrying.

I felt the same yesterday as I did when we lost to Leicester in the cup.

It made me question everything.
