Last season harry and England.... This season well before the season even started with the avb bashing. They have managed to influence a fair few supporters . I mean booing 1st and 2nd home games. The atmosphere has been woefully at the ground. I have watched on tv but I don't think I have ever really heard the away fans more than us...
The atmosphere in here's not been much better you would think we had already finished 8th that was before the season even kicked off.

Not sure I can blame the media.

There is a good chance a certain section of fans are disappointed with Harry getting the chop. My dad isn't pleased about it and my grandad is raging over it! Neither would consider booing at the Lane though, well not our own players/team anyway. Football fans are fickle and can act like sheep. The pressure in the next home game will be huge.

It's a big decision Levy has taken and it meant the pressure was on instantly.

The media don't dictate our transfer policy nor do they take to the pitch and put in sub par performances ( something not entirely new to this season, it's been happening since the turn of the year)

I laugh when I see or hear outsiders slagging us off. Even if I agree with them it makes me want us to succeed even more in order to ram it down their moronic throats.

We will be ok I think. Just need to adjust expectations which I think most of us here have after losing such quality from the side this summer.
Top 6/7 will be about right.

The media are not a factor. Results are.

Although I would also add that performances are also important.

AVB has also done himself no favours by totally side lining a fan favourite player like Dawson, especially at a time when the fans have just lost another fan favourite in VDV and the legend that is Ledley King

You could play for Spurs, they often look round at each other when they fuck up with a not my fault look on their face, why accept responsibility for mistakes when you can blame someone else?

Don't see how keeping fan's favourites is the way to go, I want players who will help make us more successful and I don't think Dawson is one of them. God bless him he is whole-hearted but there are better players out there - and therein lies another problem, how do you define a fan's favourite as opinion is always divided.
