about 13-14 years ago when i still lived in glasgow, rangers held a pre season tourney with juventus , manu and some other bunch. anyway on the saturday of this tourney i went to this place on loch lomond called duck bay marina for a night out with the misses. anyway, most of the players from rangers, manu and juventus were there.i was ,es,orised all night. every where i turned was famous footballers. I pissed beside schmeichal. he is beau coup.

I posted this is some obscure thread just after it happened, but I think I should give it another airing....
Just before Christmas my girlfriend was shopping at Blue Water and she spotted Teddy Sheringham going into Next. Knowing he was a hero of mine she called me up to tell me. Not wanting this opportunity to pass, I told her to go up to him, say hello and put him on the line. She was mortified with embarrassment and needed a bit of arm-twisting, but bless her cotton socks she did it. He came on the line and was really cool. Not really knowing what to say I started off with a "Woooaaah! Teddy Teddy!" then asked him when he was coming back to Spurs, "One day," he said! Then he told me off for making my girlfriend Christmas shop on her own.
It was the most surreal thing but he was really good about it.
Then he posed for a quick photo and went on his way.
What a guy!
