I just love watching Spurs, full stop and can't wait to watch them again, first glimpse of the Lane as I turn out of Bruce Park is always the same, brings a smile to my face, I'm home.

As for this season, we've had worse and not that long ago, we're still playing some very good stuff, results just not going our way, but the performances have not been dire, although reading some posts on sc you'd think otherwise.

Once Ramos gets a few defenders back we'll be fine, I think.....

I ignored most of your moaning last season, so I'm good, thanks. ;)

:) Stono - as you well know I'm sure - I am not one of the moaning brigade - and was right behind the team last season like every season -

Like anyone I'll have the occasional moan but last season was full of people groaning about 'Jol this Jenas that Lee this, losers this losers that, Gardner this Robbo that, Mido this lost from in front' that etc etc it went on and on and on and this board like a lot of other Spurs boards was full of it - so I'm glad nostalgia seems to have settled in now and people see the season for what I said it was at the time - a good/very good season

I think I sometimes mistake you for someone else with DC_ at the beginning of their nick. Sorry about that. Couldn't agree with you more, though. Might be a while till we see back to back fifth places again... With his 'own' DoF, support from the board and the players, and a smarter transfer policy, I still think Jol would have taken this team even further than fifth. I think Ramos is a better tactician, but any manager in the world would struggle to win matches with the defence we've got.

Oh, and you just wouldn't be a proper Spurs supporter if you didn't enjoy the occasional moanathon.

:) Stono - trust me i'm one of the most positive people on here - last season I said time and again we played even better than the season before - I remember being kocked sideways early on in the season when we swept aside Sheff U with the sort of pace skill and power I'd never seen before at Spurs ever - and that included the 60s -

of course the 60s 70s 7 80s teams were better relatively speaking but in terms of absolute performance the first hour was simply breathtaking - Keane was phenomenal - Lennon a joy - Berbs opened his account - it was brilliant to watch - and throughout out the season we hit those heights again and again - culminating in that amazing day at Upton Park

this season we've already seen some breathtaking games - and some great football from us - but once again just like last season and most seasons a lot of people seem immune to it

The Aalborg game was a clssic Euro glory night at the Lane - the tremndous result and battling display at Anderlecht a real heart lifter - the demolitions of Wigan and Derby - the quality performances at Fulham & anfield - the amazing 4-4 anniversary game

Yes overall it's not been as good as last season - but already there's been so much to enjoy, so much to be proud of - and there's so much more to come :)

Someone play that video to the lads please!! Inspiring stuff.

We had class, passion, professionalism and we were enjoying ourselves. What's more, other teams were fearing coming to the Lane... What the hell has happened? We need a stable defence, and fast.

Dear Santa....

James you're so right - but honestly go back to these and other Spurs boards for last season and you wouldn't recognise your description from the amount of moaning and criticism that went on -
