Calm down everyone. Its just media. Don't you remember when Bale hit the heights and you couldn't pick up a newspaper without reading an interview with his old PE teacher!
Look, we will play Villa in a couple of weeks and there will be a lot of "reminiscing" going on before then.
Its 100% guaranteed that Harry K will be asked to comment on the influence of Sherwood. Lets wait and hear what he has to say. I am sure the credit goes to a number of people.

Come on the press ask the questions he answers them, some fans take the bait and lunch a shit storm on him. I wasn't his biggest fan but TBH I dont think he has said a lot wrong since his dismissal. I can also see why he feels hard done by, he was given half a season with a clearly unhappy squad in his first managerial post and after he had done resaonably well he was dismissed.

Now here we are with a new manager talking about giving him time (which we should) when Tim was bearly given time to have a fap in his new office. Tim like Harry simply weren't wanted by a section of supporters due to their personality and history, no Harry wasn't the best coach but he did deliver us CL football and an exciting few seasons, Tim wasn't really given a chance but the future will tell us how well he does.

Get out of here with your measured and logical assessment of what was actually said. You're spoiling all the fun.

It took time for Harry to win them over but they love him now and they’re reaping the rewards for it".

He takes no credit here, and that's the whole crux of the article from what i see.

Far too many on SC who just simply hate what they do not understand. I doubt if half the members replying to the article bothered to even read it.

I ... wait .... no, mmmmmm yes ... Hang on no I checked and I don't care!

Why does he feel the need to keep coming out with this stuff, fair play to him for the work he did with the youth along with Ramsey but he's not here any more. I know a journo probably asked him first but It's like that friend you have that will not stop talking about their ex! You can tell they're not over them yet and you let them indulge for a while but soon it's just 'get a grip and concentrate on yourself'!

Rant over!

Is he wrong though? A season ago I wouldn't have thought most poeple would of had Kane in the startign 11. I will be honest I rememeber hearing the chants for Bobby when Kane was on the pitch, I remember thinking "get Bobby on FFS". Us football fans are fickle, were an easily pleased mob with short memories.
I can't believe some of the comments I've read in this thread, nine out of ten Tottenham fans probably thought we had another Lee Barnard on our books, myself included, I'm delighted to be proved wrong but some just cannot, for their own petty reasons, accept that Tim Sherwood may have better judgement than them. That's probably why he's got a job in football and they haven't. :)

Furthermore, if they've decided that anything written or said by Timmy is going to enrage them why even read the story? Reminds me of Harry Enfield's self righteous brothers character.

if you needed confirmation of why levy ditched tim you need look no longer
can someone tell him that he is being obviously bitter about getting the tin tack
he no longer manages spurs
his statements are obviously aimed at causing internal unrest at spurs
he is talking himself out of future employment with any club
I would not touch this bitter mouthy chancer with a bargepole
not only do we have to put up with anti spurs verbal from t.v. pundits
when the likes of merson say we will get beaten by Leicester he must realise that punditry is not what you would like to happen it has to be a considered and calculated sensible argument
we now have ex employees lining up to try to destabilise the club
we know that Sherwood would like spurs to collapse and if we did he would say it was because he was no longer there
please shut up about spurs you dim fool idiot dipstick
Anger management required here I think.

I suppose he turned water into wine as well. The only this this amazing superhuman being cannot do is keep his big fat gob shut. Thank goodness we got rid of him. Villa will live to regret hiring him.
Villa are doing quite well with him...so far.

I can't believe some of the comments I've read in this thread, nine out of ten Tottenham fans probably thought we had another Lee Barnard on our books, myself included,

In some ways Harry remind me of Lee Barnard. Both were number 10s lacking spectacular pace, who were pushed up into a lone striker role, and who there pressed diligently (Lee actually did this rather better), while scoring from eery part of the pitch with every part of the body, and also acting as hold up player and provider. So why did Harry kick on to become a superstar, while Lee stagnated and then went backwards?

Partly it is down to Harry developing a superior physique (Lee was just a niggly little fucker); partly it is down to the right opportunities at the right time (so important); and partly it is down to Harry so far being free of injury (but for a string of injuries I am sure Lee would have been at least a Championship player).

But perhaps the real reason is to be found in Tim's quotes, and he gives credit where credit is due: “Tremendous credit should go to Christian Eriksen and Gylfi Sigurdsson. As much as Harry was a fantastic trainer, those two guys spent hours on the training field with him; striking balls, working on the right side, the left side, and showing Harry how to train properly.”
