I'm not sure what people are getting mad about, it's perfectly believable what he said, he also NEVER SAID that he saved Harry Kane's career.

This, this, this, if anything he saying it cause it knows some fans will chuck a shit fit.

As much as I disliked Tim towards the end of his Spurs management and although I read this instead of hearing it from his stupid mouth... I don't think there is much wrong in what he has said actually.

Probably no need to say anything about really it but in general his praise is welcomed, especially the comments directed at Eriksen and Sigurdsson.

Yep, everyone here is quick to jump on him, but it's not like he called the media up and said, 'Right, I'm holding a press conference at my house where I'm going to talk about how great I am. Be there in an hour'. He has been asked a question about Kane. What do people want him to do....sit there with his arms folded and say nothing? He's answered the question because Kane is big news and Sherwood played a fairly big role in his development. He gave his answer a bit of context as well by talking about the club thinking of selling him. Big. Deal.

People are rightly tired of him talking about Spurs full stop. He talks about us more than he talks about Villa. Hell, he talks about us more than Pochettino does.

Added to that is the fact that, as usual with him, he's constantly talking about stuff to try and make himself look good. Stuff that may well be 'perfectly believable' but is, in all likelihood, at best an exaggeration and at worst complete crap.

How many of us laughed when he put Kane in at no.10 and called him Rooneyesque and he was terrible?
I certainly did.
Harry has a lot to thank Timmy for. Not sorry that he's gone though.

Come on the press ask the questions he answers them, some fans take the bait and lunch a shit storm on him. I wasn't his biggest fan but TBH I dont think he has said a lot wrong since his dismissal. I can also see why he feels hard done by, he was given half a season with a clearly unhappy squad in his first managerial post and after he had done resaonably well he was dismissed.

Now here we are with a new manager talking about giving him time (which we should) when Tim was bearly given time to have a fap in his new office. Tim like Harry simply weren't wanted by a section of supporters due to their personality and history, no Harry wasn't the best coach but he did deliver us CL football and an exciting few seasons, Tim wasn't really given a chance but the future will tell us how well he does.

Never heard that one before Tim - run it by us again.......
You did okay in your stint here but the narcissistic personality disorder is starting to wear us down a bit.

I'm the Villa manager now and want to talk about my players and how they've turned a corner, ain't that hard.
They ask Tim because they know he can't resist a dig.

Where is the dig though? I have read his quotes a few tiems and don't see a dig at Tottenahm anywhere?

Little dig at the fans re Kane not always being "one of our own"

Is he wrong though? A season ago I wouldn't have thought most poeple would of had Kane in the startign 11. I will be honest I rememeber hearing the chants for Bobby when Kane was on the pitch, I remember thinking "get Bobby on FFS". Us football fans are fickle, were an easily pleased mob with short memories.

Is he wrong?

Well, there was never any bad feelins towards Harry, not that I recall, no booing or anything like that, unless you include posts from idiots on Twitter or something?

You have to remember as well, that when Tim says "they wanted Soldado on if Kane didn't score after half an hour" that a good portion of people who went to games HATED Ade, even when he was doing well, so I reckon there would of been a lot of match day fans who wouldn't of minded a Kane/Soldado partnership.

There is not a single football fan in the world that wouldn't love their home grown academy lads getting into the first team. Fact of the matter was, Kane only started 3 games so the fans hadn't seen much of him

I totally agree and I expanded my oridginal post. We love a home grown player true, nothing makes you prouder to know a fan is one of your best performing players. The problem is us fans also like a bit of foriegn tart, a big name signing wheather we need it or not. I am not a Tim fan, I find him smug and arrogant, but thats a personal thing and TBH they are traits that will help him to be successful in his job.

Tim's not as stupid as people make out not by a long shot, he keeps the media on side, look at AVB the master of his own downfall and the media (as well as himself) helped ruin him.

Agree with most of that.

The other problem being, we, as football fans, are a fickle bunch.

Some more than others though

I really don't think it helps that he's got a chevy chase that is just asking to be slapped. That, coupled with his dross is a recipie for the poor soul to have his pants pulled down at every opportunity.
