Anyone seen anything of him lately? Went to a Rayo forum, but there were only old posts regarding him. "Total dissapointment" and "too slow" was the gist of it.

Was in the stadium at the game Rayo v Espanyol (1-4) . Rayo lost their keeper early and so they were missing one man. He wasn't really good or big involved, I saw that he was frustrated at times when he didn't received the ball.

He just hasnt been near full fitness, and he got injured again. As for total disappointment, I think thats more to do the style they play. At Almeria they kept the ball whereas Rayo this season sold their whole team and replaced them with player on loan or for free and hardly see the ball for a spanish team.

yep, was just about to post. he got two assists today.

lennon, townsend and sigurdsson have one between them all season.

Yip he couldn't be any worse, i wonder if he will get a go in the team next season or they will try and sell him in the summer?

There's reportedly an agreed fee if Rayo can afford him. We were on the verge of selling him to Almeira for 3m Euros so it will probably be around that aka not very expensive.

He's worth more than that to us but I still don't see us keeping him.

Guarantee his next fee is twice what we sell him for.

No way Rayo can afford him imo, Almeria did say they tried to sign but it wasn't possible to get him then at the end of the window we loaned him to rayo, which was strange and they had to go for Suso instead.

This season been dogged with injuries and not to mention Rayo just replaced their team by selling them and getting in 10 players with the combined cost of £0. So it has taken a while for the team to settle but they are in form at the moment and Falque got two assists the other day.

Almeria are on tv in the weekend with them playing Real Madrid

Am I correct in thinking he doesn't have very long left on his contract? Shame if so as you'd imagine we might be able to get a decent fee for him at this point (if we don't wish to integrate him next season that is).

I would imagine he has a year left, personally I wouldn't mind keeping him, as I think he has something that we need. Against a team that will defend deep he will be good off the ball and be a good attacking threat with his passing and movement, he setup himself for a goal but it was ruled off side as the return pass was tapped in by the guy next to him who was offside, had he left it Falque, would of scored a legitimate goal.

Agreed, contract to June 2015. Think he's a decent player, but if Spurs are going to progress, think we need an upgrade on him.

Think he's a decent player, but

Tottenham midfielder Iago Falque hopes to stay with Rayo Vallecano.

The former Barcelona junior is on-loan at Rayo this season and can sign permanently for €3 million.

His agent, Oscar Font, told Fichajes.com: "His priority today is to stay with Rayo Vallecano. It is a club that has given him affection, trust and where he has felt very welcome by both the fans and the club and coach.

"Iago would love Tottenham and Rayo Vallecano to reach an agreement.

"For him it would be great, he needs continuity and here he has had it."
