I didn't see a thread already for Spurs or non-Spurs games so decided to get one going for those that are watching. Don't really know if there is a need/desire for it or not but I'm watching. Juve v Bayern was boring but City v Pool is decent. Spurs up next.

Spurs best Roma 4-1. Moura x2 and Llorente x2.

Team was Vorm (C), Aurier, Carter-Vickers, Davies, Walker-Peters, Amos, Sissoko, Eriksen, Lamela, Lucas, Llorente.

4-1 at ht then I guess we subbed everyone

Will be interesting to catch the re-run on Freesports. That front four looks really good on paper assuming a Llorente as he was a couple of seasons ago and an in form Lamela

Yeah didn’t realise Dortmund played again last night. Quite fancy us to win this Barcelona squad is really weak unless they’ve got a few wonder kids in there.

Indeed Football(NOT SOCCER) doesn't need Americanising in any way shape of form.

You realize soccer is a word of English origin right? And that it's just as frequently used in Ireland, South Africa, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia?

I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar in the 2026 World Cup if they want to eliminate draws in the group stage...

That is part of the game though. The fact that a team can earn a point by grinding out a result a against a superior team is part of what makes it what it is.

And maybe they'll keep it that way. But with group's of 3, you're going to have a lot more groups where "fair play" tiebreaker comes into play because everyone only played two games. If you'd rather have that decide groups with a bunch of draws compared to shootouts, then I guess that's your choice.
