Now that is random. If they are going through to cast a white actor for shaft I'd expect someone like Mark Wahlberg. The English invasion of Hollywood continues.

Either way Craig is contracted to bond for 1 more film after Spectre meaning by the time the role is free Idris would be pushing 50.

I've got no problem with a black Bond... I thought Colin Salmon should have been Bond after Brosnan. He apparently played Bond in the auditions for the Bond girls, and he was a natural at it.

But Elba is too old now. A new Bond needs to be mid to late thirties, through to mid forties by the time he's done.

Personally I think Bond should be put to bed now.

TBH if he was 10 years younger he would of been perfect for the role, but i honestly think he's past it now unfortunately. FanFUCKINGtastic actor though and would do a world of good for other PoC actors in the business if he was elected as the new bond.

yup.. Wahlberg in the film Four Brothers .. demonstrates why he would actually be really cool to play a role traditionally filled by a black actor
