maybe united cant afford bale outright, doesnt stop them from offering alot of their junk to us though in exchange

would anyone accept:

Carrick
Berbatov
Park and Valencia
as well as 10 million cash?

im pretty sure the answer would be no, and so it should be

Multiple player swap deals + cash never happen, they are just a newspaper filler.

Generally I agree. Why would a club swap a top player for a goodie bag of shit? being the biggest stumbling block.

Although one of the worst bits of business I can recall in recent years involved that little fella who scored against us last night being swapped with cash for a useless lump of a Swede going to Barca.

Bale seems a pretty down to earth and bright guy. However if he wants to leave then let him go. The club is bigger than any player and plus he is worth at least 60 million. We could buy Marko Marin and two phenomonal strikers with that.

PS: I hope he stays.

Levy and Redknapp are no mugs. They would price clubs like Utd out of buying players like Bale by solely demanding cash and making it harder for the buying club to fund the move. Why would we want Carrick and Berbatov back? Carrick hasn't lit the world up since he left and Berba's only just finding form. Park is a bit player at best and Valencia currently only has one leg. Id want all four plus the original £50mil valuation.

was just talking to a Southampton fan friend of mine who is adamant that they have an 18% sell on clause in the deal when we signed him. Can anyone back this up? if this is true we really shouldn't be selling him.

It will have an expiry date. Everton we're crowing about possible rooney sales too but thier sell on clause ran out after the first 4 years.

The arrogance of that absolute **** on red cafe from the link in the OP has me fucking fuming.

"Spurs don't have the balls to challenge for major honours. He'll be wasted at the club."

Seriously, what an utter, utter ****. I mean **** of ****s.
I'm so bloody angry about an annonymous internet post it's ridiculous.
I'm gonna slap the Manc from work tomorrow. Just for being associated. might even kick him in the ankles for good measure.

Utd/Liverpool fans that frequent their boards are always really arrogant.

Last season when we beat Man City, someone on RAWK posted something along the lines of "I can't believe Spurs have just qualified for the CL, they do not deserve to. We should be in there, they have had an ok season but how can the CL do without us, our history etc." When I saw the post I was so annoyed I nearly shit a jihad (thats a joke for anyone now monitoring everything I post for using the word 'jihad').

My favourite on Red Cafe...one guy on there is prepared to bet up to any amount that Bale will be a United player this time next season, citing a 30-35 million price tag based on the fact that Bale's form will dip and fizzle out.

Now the latter part of that is probably true, Bale cant perform like that every week but I would personally look for a bridge to jump off if we sold him to United for 30 million.

Its never going to happen though, they can wish it as much as they like but they wont do this to us again, and if they do it will be for an obsene amount of money which in all likelihood they wont have.

Man United is actually the last place I want him to end up if he ever goes - my hatred for them just keeps growing and growing.

Arrogant bastards.

I actually think Gareth is in a bit of a slump already this season with only a few performances that were up to his high standard.

He was a far better player last year when he was unstoppable for 14 or 15 games in a row.
I don't remember any player having such a sustained period of sheer brilliance and I have been watching football for a long time.
In every one of those games he was easily the best player on the pitch.

United would need to use all the money they get for Rooney plus a few more quid to even have a chance of signing Bale.

David Gold is an idiot.

They might not sell for £50million but they would for £200 million, so if an offer between 50 and 200 came in they'd have to sell.

Obviously if 200million came in there'd be questions asked, but at the moment his worth is nearer the 100million mark than the 50 mark mate.

Go back to your little pikey club and porn mags, stick to what you know. Cos it sure as hell isn't Spurs

Actually he says that we wouldn't sell for £50 million but surely would for £200 million so you would guess there is a point between those two numbers where financially Levy would have to sell. Which unfortunately is probably true, ofcourse Lewis and Levy being fairly minted could always stay stubborn and say no.

Tbh I don't stick up for these bellends much but I think he was actually being fair and probably is only talking about Bale as he has been asked about him by SSN. Also too right he is jealous, his club are a shower of shit atm.

The thing that is really irking me is Sky's blatant attempt to dismantle our club. With them touting Bale and Modric to all the top clubs and trying to get Harry the England job.

I can't stand their fans, arrogant, horrible people.

They have a sense of entitlement that I just can't abide, I really want to see that odious club crash and burn, I hope the Glazers take 'em for everything they've got.

Oh and they couldn't even afford his right leg let alone his left, Manc *****s!

at least they have good reason to act entitled going in there recent history. It's the city fans banging on as if they've earned the right to be at the top, attracting the best players, that pisses me off.

That was one piece of business that did not make footballing sense. Swap Eto'o for Ibra... I said it then and I'll say it again, "WTF!?!"

I think that may actually be the worst bit of transfer business in Barca's history, as Eto'o was and very much still is the perfect striker to play in the Barca system.
