I read the original article in El Mundo and it says that Spurs are loaded with cash, that the "adored by the board" Juande can do what he pleases with it, and that he has made Casillas his first target: 25 million euros for Real Madrid and 7 for the player per year (currently he gets 6).Juande would be willing to up the offer if not succesful.

Juande would also like to sign Xavi from Barcelona (Rijkaard wants Cesc to replace him) and Villa from Valencia as Berbatov may leave as early as the next transfer window.

So Zokora to Arsenal, Xavi to Spurs and Cesc to Barca. that would be the dream of any Spurs fan

Typical article when there are no league games.

They have gone absolutely barmy today. According to the press, just from today, our side come January will be:

...............Casillas...............

Alves...Janque.....King.....Bale

....Capel...Carrick....Xavi

....Owen...Kanoute..Villa

Ridiculous doesn't even come close.

Barca are my second favourite team, so that would be fantastic.

Barca get a great player, Spurs get a great player, and the goons are sabotaged.

he he. Ramos when he joined had an "injuropped" robbo. It would have been so easy for him to kepp him "injuropped" but brought him bact through choice. He'll be our No.1 for many years to come me thinks.

Injuropped- an unclear form of exclusion. Derived from the english words Injured and dropped.
*Not to be confused with Injurested.
e.g. Ryan Giggs, David Beckham, Roy Keane and Paul Scholes are Injureseted for the up coming round of international friendlies

Almost as crazy as a man recognised as a top coach in his native Spain at a successful club in the Champions League leaving it for a club who have won bugger all for years never reached the CL and sitting in the relegation zone in another country altogether.
That would never happen either!!

Coaches and footballers are differnent on so many levels. thier mental approach to career progression and what they see as a challenge etc... not to mention the fact we can play a lump sum to a coach but can't/won't do a similar thing to lots of players to cushion thier fall. that type of money would break a wage structure we all know about. If you do you have to change the wages of the incumberant and wanted squad members. 6 million euroes quickly turns in 60 million across a squad...

but if you think it's the same thing?!?

Also CL teams don't often change coaches.. CL teams do often add/change players. Ramos' options for more money or a better/different challange are far more limited than the Sevilla playing staff, who would have a choice of CL to choose to join....

but if you think it's the same thing??!

Trouble is you were too keen to demonstrate an amature grasp of sarcasum, you didn't really think about what you were saying. any more of that and you're going in my Clown list.

I do not want us to pay £25mill for a goalkeeper even if we had the chance to sign him.
