Far too soft... Too many nice players, more fight required, winning their one on one battles. Eriksen is good technically - what's up with his free kick delivery lately? - but a liability also, due to the count of competing like an absolute pussy. Chadli the same and a bigger disappointment due to his physical size. Play these 2 together and you've got 2 liabilities with respect to defensive duties, physical domination and competitiveness. Lennon and Lamela are at least more tenacious and aggressive in approach, even though out-muscled at times.
I think vlad is a little soft at centre back too, preferring to see Fazio at the back. Someone who'll stand their ground, even teach an opponent a lesson when they try to bully.
Midfield needed higher tempo tenacity in the centre provided by stambouli. Capoue's good but a little laid back (self-paced?), Moussa also. Play those 2 in the centre together and you've got problems with pace of play.
I see crisp, zipping, direct interplay only a handful of times a game, and often with no end result.
A greater and more prolonged urgency is required from the off. Spurs have a habit of starting play like they are 3-0 up already. Sometimes they make an initial 5/10min show of urgency.
There's really no fear factors for an opponent in the current squad and the last time Spurs had that was from Bale's pace and ability.
Side thought: When-did/who-was spurs last fielded physical bully / "hardman"?
