What actually is this?

I won £120 last night and I'm not 100% sure how? I couldn't tell what was happening or what the score was.

It was through Betfair.

Cheers

In play betting is just betting on markets after the event has started, isn't it?

but no scores were showing up, all I could see where the odds changing?

They change on how the game is going, maybe a corner, or dangerous freekick is given - or the amount of possession in certain areas of the pitch, or obviously a goal scored will (I think) mean the 'in play' odds can change.

Not entirely sure though.

What do you mean you won 120? Haha, how? You must have bet on something

You can either bet on something whilst the match is on hence the odds changing dramatically or sometimes you can cash-out a pre-match bet in-play for a profit. Say you bet £10 on Bayern 4-1 Arsenal, when it was 4-1 during the game you could have either taken a risk for it to finish 4-1 for max. profit or cashed out for below max value but still make a decent profit. I'm not much of a gambler in-play, I think it's more for those people who like to have large bets pre-match but bet on different things in-play to cover their losses or minimise risk

Well I stuck a random bet at 12/1 but there were no updates on the scores and I had no idea I had won until they paid me the money. :D

Maybe the app was being shit

Taoist has caught the bug

I've put two more "free bets" on an accumulator at the weekend end. I've already pissed away £20 of free bets on stupidity so I need to get a hold of myself.

I need the following to win at the weekend..

City to beat Villa
Swansea to beat Norwich
Spurs to beat Arsenal
Liverpool to beat Palace

£10 free bet with £322 back.

Any chance?

There's only one team that will let you down there. The perennial underachievers. Liverpool.

lol SkyBet app just cocked up.

There is some random footy match playing and the odds for this team were 10/1 so I tried to stick an odd £0.67p (i know right) on this crap team to win then the betting suspended and the odds went to 40/1. Stuck it on anyway and the gave the goal to the wrong team. lol

I should have cashed out at £5 but i'm in it for the big haul. £27.47.

Yep they're impossible to lose. Something like over 0.5 pre-match is almost guaranteed (or you could back the 0-0 elsewhere with another site, just to cover yourself) and you could stick your in-play on a correct score at 10/1 or something and potentially win £500+. Or other combinations which are literally no-lose such as BTTS first half or double chance Arsenal/ Barca and back the draw in play

Although I can't do these anymore as the ****s banned me for doing every single one over the past 3-4 years and not using their site for anything else. Must have made around a grand from these alone

I'm using that Chelsea PSG thing tonight. Where should I be putting my £50 in play bet?

That's the hard part! I've gone both teams to score in the first half which has landed twice before for me, and in the first leg but I wasn't on it that time.
