A fully fit wanyama would be a major bonus. 16/17 wanyama + this current version of sissoko would be a real powerhouse CM with Winks to add the finesse.

Hope Moussa is not rushing back... seems too fast for what looked like a bad injury. Lucas is a big + to have back, best player in the squad at taking on defenders 1v1. A fit Wanyama starts over Dier/Wink/Sissoko anyday!

I think we will have to phase Wanyama in carefully. The last time he played without match fitness he was atrocious and we wouldn't want him to get injured again immediately...

I don’t think I’m going to pin my hopes on him putting a run of games together unfortunately. I really really hope he’s come through his injuries though as he’s had such bad luck and we all know what an asset he is when 100% fit. Whether he can ever be that again is the problem.

Great news on sissoko and Lucas though. As long as they haven’t been rushed back too.

Hopefully we can make him last 30 mins every few games so that someone else can rest in the 2nd half. :sorry:

Sissoko coming back too soon from a muscle injury worries me. Particularly as his game relies heavily on sprinting.

I know, but with 15 kids to feed and having to travel so far, he has to meet his needs:cautious:

edit: I forgot about the dog

Stop me if I told you this one before.
Doctor Stefan Freud's situation reminds me
of the old rabbi joke.

Woman with15 kids and a dog
goes in desperation to her Rabbi.
He listens patiently to her woes
and says 'Get a goat'.

Three weeks later she returns
and breaks down sobbing.
'Much worse Rabbi, much worse.'
'Sell the goat and come back in three weeks'

She returns and he inquires 'How are things?'
''Wonderful Rabbi I can't thank you enough
you have saved my marriage and my life

doctor stefan f. Get a goat.

Wasn't sure where to post this but would thought I'd put it in here and top 4 thread with regards to our injury situation.

https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/fo...blems-continue-to-hurt-mauricio-a4046566.html

Interesting read, excerpts below:

Alli was forced out of Sunday’s win at Craven Cottage, but the origins of his injury can be traced back to the fly-infested Volgograd Arena on June 18. The midfielder suffered a thigh strain in England’s World Cup opener against Tunisia and, although he sat out the two remaining group games, he returned two weeks later for the second-round match against Colombia.

He has now suffered three hamstring strains since September, having never previously had more than one injury per season since turning professional. By the start of March, he will likely have missed 20 games.

While there has been no suggestion that England mismanaged the 22-year-old, his workload in Russia has surely been a factor in a stop-start season — and he is not the only one at Spurs.

Of the club’s 12 World Cup representatives, 10 have suffered serious injuries this term, with Hugo Lloris, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen, Kieran Trippier, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen, Mousa Dembele and Kane the others.

Only Toby Alderweireld and Son have avoided a spell on the sidelines, although the South Korean confessed to being exhausted after returning from the Asian Games in August. In short, no European club’s season has been more disrupted by the World Cup.

Poch is a miracle worker, and in my opinion, the "best pound for pound" manager in the division. Making top 4 with the injuries, no players bought for 12 months, would possibly be his most notable achievement with the club thus far.

If he is fit enough to walk, he is fit enough to play - surely? :sneaky:

In all seriousness, hopefully, he is able to start his rehabilitation and return earlier than expected like he usually does.

Has he got a bandage on ? That looks ridiculously swollen ? but I said he’d be back in training late February. Bet he’s available for NLD.

Physio friend said if he’s walking unaided after 10 days could probably commence on field rehab in 2-3 weeks so that’s mid February and full training about another 10/14 days.

Too bad about Davies, he's been rotated a fair bit too, and wasn't among the ones I'd think was «in line» for a muscle injury. KWP as LB on sunday?

It's fair to say that the entire squad will be put on summer watch to make sure that so much as a headache is avoided.

It's absolutely devastating the amount of players dropping

For me Moura is not good enough for us and flatters to deceive and is vastly overrated by some and if we are relying on him for the next month its goodbye to top four spot.
