There are updates every week on Lamela. People act like Pochettino and the club have never mentioned his injury.

The more things change, the more they stay the same. "Updates" is stretching it a bit. All we hear is what kind of mood he is in, or that he's doing a bit of work outside. What, gardening? Putting a fence up?

Of course the club are not under any obligation to provide concrete information, particularly if there isn't any to give (or more likely) they are doing their best to protect the value of an asset. However, when things are so vague all that is left is to read between the lines. It's been obvious for ages that something is not quite right with this situation, even though a lot of people in here haven't liked to believe it.

Then wouldn't it be helpful if we knew the facts? What's the big secret?

Like every other employer in the country Spurs have a legal obligation to keep certain employee information confidential. Footballers believe it or not are safeguarded by the same employment rights as everyone else.

Don't forget trans-gender alien abductee as well :censored:.

I have to say if you put a gun to my head and said there's one tranny in the team you've got 3 guesses to get it right or you're dead my answers would be lamela, lamela and lamela.... although Danny Rose's eyebrows are so well pruned it makes me slightly suspicious there too

Three chances to save your life, but instead of hedging your bets, you are too confident and stubborn to answer anything else. I guess you can 'feel' it? :shifty:

I think everyone understands this is not just as simple as a normal injury. It's just a case of not making assumptions on what is the problem without knowing the facts.

Nobody understands nothing.

We are being told he's injured and it appears to be a lot more complicated than that.

With the club lacking transparency (yet again) you cannot expect people not to speculate.

The whole thing is just so odd.

it is a bit strange when people say the club are not being honest as if the club is obligated to put this stuff out there.

I can think of no genuine reason why a fan needs to know why Lamela is injured or is unable to play. Medical issues are private issues.

Really annoys me to see people like @hotspurrelated on twitter talking absolute crap to him demanding to know what's going on and questioning his character. Level of entitlement and lack of respect is scary.
