Really showing us up for not signing that defensive midfielder in the summer now.
not necessarily...but I see others have handled this fallacy so I shall not continue. If I only could figure out how to cancel a post this would not have been posted. :)

We know what Son has got - plantar fasciitis
How do we actually 'know' it is PF? If it is then there is no way we can put a timetable on his return and Poch is right to vague in his responses. Also, if this is true it could be months before we the Son again.

Poch wasn't vague at all he said probably another 2-3 weeks for Son "He's nearly ready to come back"... and Mason and Nabil would be sooner.

If I'm remembering correctly, I believe the club itself actually announced the specifics of the injury (the plantar fasciitis). If that is the case, the timetable Poch gave for his return could be accurate. Unfortunately, it's a problem which can last awhile if it doesn't respond to conservative treatment (rest, ice, and 'roids), but I'm hoping with Poch's declared timetable for return that the recovery is going well.

Hasn't he been saying Mason is nearly ready for a few weeks? Probably be another 4-6 weeks before we see Son!

As far as the announcement I am/was unaware. As far as PF etiology, course & treatment I am fully aware which leads to my point - his timetable/return has already been pushed back 3 weeks time. This one has already and could further linger! Fingers crossed.

#thfc For those asking, been told Tom Carroll's injured - hence why Harry Winks is on the bench instead of him.

One less CM option who I'd thought would get EL/cup games, think Poch will now need to play Winks in the next EL match if Carroll out for any time.

I currently have it and there's no end in sight. Have had it for 2 months so far. Hopefully Son will heal better than I am

My foot has slowly recovered since Iast July, I'm on my feet all day so it's taken ages, bloody agony after a days work in the beginning , found my ankle would get very warm towards the end of work and then stiffen up, very painful indeed.
I suggest buying sports insoles and wearing them in every shoe, should make a huge difference.

Depending on the root cause. Stretches, anti-inflammatories and the correct prescription of orthotics (which I'd have assumed every player would have thesedays) will help enormously.

I know of some players that have been told they can't walk to the toilet to take a piss in the middle of the night without wearing their orthotics.

Plantar fasciitis is a very treatable condition and treatment/pain resolution can be swift if correct.

I hope so too. I think it lasted about 4/5 months with me. You think it's gone, then it hits you again.

I had this too and literally couldn't walk on my left foot. Since then I have worn trainers to work every day and in addition I stretched the ligaments by hooking an old tie over my big toe and pulling my foot towards me (one of the exercises suggested in the NHS treatment sheet). This solved the problem quite quickly and I am able to be on my feet all day pain free.

Chadli tweeted something about 'coming back stronger', the phrase everyone says when they have long-term injuries ...
