Chadli tweeted something about 'coming back stronger', the phrase everyone says when they have long-term injuries ...

He'll about for several weeks.

Son can't get back quick enough. Really hope he's back by the time we play Villa in two weeks time.

It's become one of them cliché sayings and it's soo cheesy. I don't really know what else they can say but footballers need to think for themselves. Not you though Chadli you're great :D

Depending on the root cause. Stretches, anti-inflammatories and the correct prescription of orthotics (which I'd have assumed every player would have thesedays) will help enormously.

I know of some players that have been told they can't walk to the toilet to take a piss in the middle of the night without wearing their orthotics.

Plantar fasciitis is a very treatable condition and treatment/pain resolution can be swift if correct.

I think if young fit men, who don't sink 5 pints a night, have to get up in the night for a wee then they've got other problems to worry about as well.

Not bothered about the Chadli injury tbqh. Wanted him out of the team anyway.

A shame for him personally but this might give Onomah a chance in the 3 in the Europa.

Chadli's injuy will give N'Jie or Townsend a chance now.
N'Jie looked lively, shame that effort with the outside of his right boot didn't go in as I think he could've gone on a little confidence run. If our CM's come back we can always push Dembele or preferable Ali further forward.
So we have options + Chadli hasn't been as good this season.

not sure if mentioned in here yet but I'm sure Mason put up a picture on Instagram or something at the weekend in training gear talking about a training session he was just about to undertake so hopefully not too long for him

would be very nice to see him back, its all a bit thin at the moment

Mind you last time everybody got terrified about no players Dier stepped up and turned out to be a promising little DM

Think its time we saw some training pics for Monday or Tuesday to play 'Spot the Mason or Bentaleb'

or a Squad Update on Wednesday - assuming they travel the day before the match

Injury situation is really getting quite concerning/frustrating.

Every week players are reported as 'close' yet nothing.

Expect it will be the same for Thursday as well....'close'.

Was there ever actually an official update on Son that I've missed?

There would have been tumbleweeds in this thread last season. The difference a handful of months makes.

At least none of them are muscle injuries. You can't really ever prepare for the injuries we're picking up. A few years ago we were picking up muscle injuries all the time. I can't remember the last one we had now.

With respect, I sense you're probably holding your binoculars the wrong way round. Dier's built like a brick out-house.

I like the idea of Onomah getting a chance in the Europa.

I don't think Chadli being injured is something we shouldn't be concerned about. He switches off but at least he's productive. He does get results. I'm just concerned about the cover. Not sure Townsend or N'Jie are as productive, but we'll see. Both have a lot to prove and need to take this opportunity.

I actually think it was Mason against Chelsea on january 1st. Which says something.
