I welcome Nacer saying that he'll be back stronger. I would also welcome him back sharper, with more tenacity and less prone to committing silly fouls when he gets dispossessed.

I am much happier seeing either Townsend or Clinton start so I'm not that worried about this. I'll not bother to go through it all again but to pay those outside positions you need PACE

I can get onboard with Clinton over Chadli purely because we have no idea whether he can be more useful or not, but Townsend? Jesus wept, what has he got, 1 goal in open play and 2 assists in 3 years? I'd rather not remove one if our more productive players for that! To my eyes he's not actually that quick anymore, or at least he doesn't know how to use what he has...

I like the idea of Onomah getting a chance in the Europa.

I don't think Chadli being injured is something we shouldn't be concerned about. He switches off but at least he's productive. He does get results. I'm just concerned about the cover. Not sure Townsend or N'Jie are as productive, but we'll see. Both have a lot to prove and need to take this opportunity.

Yep. It's more about balancing the attack though. Chadli/Eriksen/Lamela doesn't work as it's too slow.

Got quite a few negs for my post but im sure if everyone had to pick someone in our forst team to get injured 99% would pick Chadli.

3rd highest scorer last season, with Kane not scoring we need to be concerned.

Not good re chadders. Highlights the folly of our summer transfer business. Looking desperately short in forward positions now.

N'Jie and Son available to come in for him, I think our business strengthening the AM3 was pretty good, only place we really failed was at striker.

Agree, we've got plenty of options for the attacking three.

Eriksen, Son, Lamela, Pritchard, Chadli, Njie, Townsend, Onomah and Dembele/Mason/Carroll can play there at a push.

Just unfortunate that three of our primary options for the left are all out injured (Son/Chadli/Pritch)

yeah. To give us urgency from the left and also to give Kane a rest up front.

I can't believe how unlucky we've been with him getting injured.

I truly believe we would have picked up 4 extra points in our last 2 league games had he not been injured. There's no doubt he would have had a positive impact in the games against Swansea and Liverpool - both matches we should have won regardless of Son's absence.

And his presence creates more space for Lamela and Eriksen. Also the added bonus of meaning there's even less chance of seeing Townsend on the pitch...

Apologies in advance, I hate it when people write off our own players usually, but he's a lost cause IMO.

Hopefully he'll be back in full training in the next week or so - which would be a massive boost obviously.

At least none of them are muscle injuries. You can't really ever prepare for the injuries we're picking up. A few years ago we were picking up muscle injuries all the time. I can't remember the last one we had now.

It was deliberate from Milner early on avoiding an obvious booking and giving him license to do it again.
