It was only a matter of time until our transfer policy came back to bite us on the arse.
The idea that we can't sign a proper backup is ridiculous. United, Liverpool and Arsenal all manage to keep their forwards happy. Even Chelsea have Giroud and (for now) Morata.

Top teams have depth in every position. Sure, the best forwards in the world wouldn't be prepared to be back up for Kane. But there must be literally hundreds of younger forwards who can play up front or as an inside forward who'd jump at the chance to learn from Kane and Poch.

And for the second season running, Salah gets an easy shot at the golden boot because Kane once again, is out for a lengthy period.

Don’t expect him to play until end of March, into April
Although I'm fairly certain we won't buy a forward, I pray to Levy we don't sell Llorente. Really tho, I feel like a long term Kane injury was coming considering the season we have been having.

For what it's worth, I don't think Kane would have got it evem if was fit. He's hasn't looked 100% all season. Maybe this brake is what he needed. As long as we don't rush him back.

Sell Llorente and buy an up-and-coming striker. We’ve had trouble in that department as everyone’s viewed themselves as playing second fiddle to Kane. They’ve now got 2+ months to be the main man in front of Eriksen, Lamela, Son, Moura, Dele - including in UCL quarters.

Time for Llorente, Dele , Christian ,Lamela & Lucas to take up the scoring responsibility , Sonny should be back for the Leicester game maybe earlier if S Korea get knocked out . We have done OK without Harry in the past but with no Sonny as well this time could be a problem . Maybe time to blood Sterling or give Janssen a shirt number.

Gotta now show everyone we ain't totally reliant on Kane and Sonny for goals, and that our season isn't gonna totally turn to shite within the next 4 weeks. We've still got enough talent in the side, and if Llorente comes in, then he's gotta step up and do what he was bought for. He's not Harry, but he's still scored some important goals.

I feel so bad for H. He's been pacing himself all season to hit form now and he was. He doesn't deserve this.

And we're fucked unless we sign someone. Even if Son was here, he isn't a striker, and can't play every game.

Kane has been injured every seaon so far, usually we don't have a problem with it. This isn't about how much we rely on Kane, nearly all our key players are injured, just coming back from injury or off to a tournament. No team in the world, could sustain the levels we play with such bad luck. Surprised the media don't mention that when we struggle
