I'm not saying he literally won't know him.
What I'm saying is he's a nobody.
Imagine Wayne Rooney, aged 21, signing for a decent Argentinean team, say river plate. A year later they sack the boss and look for a replacement.
They decide to pick the team who finished 8th, who Rooney had never heard of and can't pronounce, and take their English boss.
Sure Rooney has heard of him, it's always good that they're another Englishman there, but the guys a bit of a "much of muchness"
A moyes, Hughes, Hodgson etc.

We don't need fans like you. Hope you don't show up at the lane this coming season as one misplaced pass and youll be booing

Worst case scenario is he has a poor season, and he is sold for a loss. If we sell him now we wouldn't get anywhere near the £30m we paid. We might aswell give him a season and hope he can stay fit and show the reason why he was rated so highly.
Selling him now would make no sense unless we were offered atleast £25m, which is highly unlikely.
I personally would like to see him play next season. He might surprise everyone. To say he is no good without giving him a run of games is ridiculous. He was injured for most of last season.

I dont like personal attacks if you were wondering what the dislike rating was for. Lets face it mate, as counter arguements go your post is childish and lame. Disagree by all means but lets not turn this into a playground.

Kind of agree. Obviously it would depend on the amount offered. Granted we haven't seen much but what we have seen is a lightweight with no pace whos injury prone and he's not going to get quicker.
Hope he does turn it around but imo if he shows himself to be worth half what we paid for him Id be amazed.
Just a side thought, given we paid 30m for him, how much do you reckon he's on a week? I dont know, I'm asking.

not a personal attack. This guy is being negative from the offset. WHL can be a very negative place at times because of people like him and it quite obviously transfers to the players on the pitch. I didn't have a counter argument, I was simply saying support the team or don't bother coming, save the tickets for someone who will cheer pochettino (if he comes)

I know YouTube can look most players look good. But if you find some clips of him playing for River Plate he is pretty quick on his feet and a good dribbler. Likes to cut inside on his left foot from the right. Pretty much exactly what we did with Bale. I'd imagine that's why we took him.
I'd imagine he's on 50-60k. But that's a rough guess. Still think he's worth another season before we give up on him.

I wouldnt care less if he went personally. We wouldnt notice anyway.
If theres a chance we can get a big chunk of the ridiculous over priced amount we paid out I think we should take it. He may prove to be a good player but I've seen nothing to base that on.
If we'd only forked out 15m Id say keep him & see what happens but imo it's just too big a gamble if we have a chance to get our money back (no pun intended).
If he has another season like the last one we wont get f all for him and its 30m down the pan.
30m ??? Still cant get over it.
That said I doubt he'll be going anywhere.
Have to agree with you here. Lamela just hasn't shown anything to justify Spurs keeping him. As long as the fee offered for him is in the 35 mill. range I say let him go.

Agree whl can be negative but thats only really been since AVB took us from playing fast exciting attacking football to slow sideways backwards boring shit which rightly pissed off the crowd. Its chicken and egg. Things perked up a bit under TS but compared to where we were under Harry we've taken a massive step backwards (who could have seen that coming?) and that is going to have an affect on the crowd.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion and blindly applauding when we're playing shit is just stupid. Supporters who spend their hard earned money supporting Spurs have a right to air their views. Because you disagree does not make you right or their opinion of any less value.
I could argue supporters who blindly applaud and bury their heads in the sand when we're in need of a kick up the arse are holding us back and should stay at home.
There are plenty of opinions on here by people who do not go to the games and cant see the diffdrence in the movement between where we were and where we are now as you cant see that on tv as the camera just follows the ball around.
The crowd can and I think that has a lot to do with why so many are down in the dumps now and why some cant understand the dislike of AVB.
Just my opinion and probably like most opinions on here, total bollocks lol :sneaky:

Will only sell if we can show a 20% profit.
The only way that will happen is if Inter have someone as fu#kin stupid as Baldini. Or someone suffering from concussion lol.
Id settle for 20% loss because thats as good as its gonna get imo.
Time to cut our losses.
Side note, has anyone compliled a list of our most expensive players in the last 10years? I'd be interested to see if any of them were any good because I cant think of any out of those I remember.

By your reckoning Everton should have been fighting relegation this season just past and will do every season that Martinez is in charge?
