Why would you drop Aldo and Trippier in an important first Euro match? Nobody has played well in our last 2 games but why single them out, they are two of our best players? I don't think Sanchez is a better player than Aldo and Aurier is an accident waiting to happen. Poch did this a couple of seasons ago when he dropped key players for Euro games and it failed miserably. It's all very well blaming the players for our poor form and rightly so but he has to have a good look at himself lately with his line-ups and substitutions. He could end up the manager that everybody likes but never won anything.

Pochettino gave a reasonable explanation as I see it and I think you're reading to much in to it. The bulk of our squad look knackered so I fully understand if Pochettino sees the need of rotating players. Especially as Liverpool and Inter three days apart is a tough task.

This CL campaign has an air of the 2016/17 CL campaign. Just have a feeling it will be an anti climax.

4-2 spurs this evening - my head ruling heart here

Hoping to lose a match isn't just an opinion, it's utter nonsense.

What's happened to fans for Christ sake? First sign of adversity really shows some of you up.
Broad assumption based off one comment, that's fine though.

Champions League football is wonderful, but a win or a loss at Inter isn't going to break us this season.

Anyway.

Exactly.

We took 8 points from our opening 5 PL matches last year compared to 9 on the board this season.

What do I need to assume, you said you're happy to lose this match...there is absolutely no justification for wanting out team to lose a competitive match no matter the competition at all, have a word with yourself ffs.

I look forward to the game at the weekend. Tonight is window dressing.

Yep, I mentioned this before.
Seems perspective isn't something a lot of fans have time for though, unfortunately.

Just coming into post that. Sounds like they could play I to our hands, especially if we decide to play both Son and Lucas and hit their centre backs at pace on the break after winning the ball in our own half.

Watching that has left me feeling weirdly confident. But obviously if we don’t play well and give the ball away all the time like against Liverpool then it won’t matter.

The early kick off time has killed my enthusiasm for tonight's game. It's al just too reminiscent of Europa League games away to Panathanaikos and Maribor.

I'm sure once the game starts I'll be glued as ever, and obviously I'm hoping for a better performance than our last 2 games, but in terms of pre-match build this just doesn't feel like the event that a Champions League game should - especially one at the San Siro!

Lamela has to start though - an absolute must!

So in other words when we're on par with Man City and Liverpool you're happy to support the team.

Keep typing yourself in knots, it's hilarious.
Love the inference.

You do you then.

Should be interesting, but also boring. Inter hasn't found their stride yet this season, we have lost ours. Will probably be a slow and reluctant performance from both teams, the final straw being some idiotic individual mistake in either team.

It will be interesting to see whether the players react to Poch's comments, because he's clearly not have with the last 2 performances & he's questioning their ability to challenge for trophies, although he still has the responsibility to pick the right team to implement his tactics.

The last two games have sapped all enthusiasm I had for the CL campaign this season. Poch looks frustrated, the players knackered and uninterested and this has transfered to me also.

I feel the same. The thing is if it is tiredness our performances and results just won't get better and improve. I just don't see how it can if it is fatigue as the reasoning. If it's form then performances will improve eventually.

I hoped we put a good performance and get a win tonight. Will perhaps be a catalyst for improvement
