Not a bad performance. Still sloppy passing but Inter don't look much so I think if we step it up a notch we can take this.

Ours. We have been dispossessed 8 times. Inter has been poor as well, but this doesn't resemble the Spurs sides we've been seeing the past few seasons.
After the two disappointing performances we've had, this is a solid display where we need to get back to consolidating and regrouping as a team.
We are doing exactly what we need to do. So far, so good.

Yes Levy has screwed Poch over perhaps, but right now this shower of shite on the pitch this season is all his doing imho. Fair points made by Jenas, Hargreaves & Glenn regarding our low intensity and press (or lack of). Poch has taken the things away that made us so good. The players play to his direction not their own - Poch is fucking this team up imho.

This isn’t as bad as is being made out but fuck me our press is dead. We just aren’t as dynamic as we’ve been used to.

That being said we have the better players. If Lamela or son shifts up a gear we win this.

Dier Is a bang average player. He’s scared to make any forward pass which is against Poch,s tatic when we need to play football from coming out of our defence. On the other hand, Dembele is on a decline. our midfield is in a big deep worry.

Hoddle on the money again. Where has our press gone? Isn't that the core point of our tactic?
Press has been gone since we've lost Rose & Walker. Those 2 were key to that formula IMO, between that and Dembele losing his legs more and more we just can't run with a team for 90 min like we used to.

Kane is definitely scoring in the second half. Every time the board goes off on him like this he scores.

We can beat this Inter side. Just need to stop those sloppy passes and put some pressure on their defence.

The press requires a front man that can break out of a jog, and Kane cannot at the mo after being run into the ground for 36 months.

They can gloss over it all they like but He can't sprint, he just has different levels of jog.

He's like a Marathon runner at the end of the race trying a sprint finish.

They just look a bit tired. But we've played alright.

The passing around the back has done my nut in but we started getting into our flow before the end of the half. Hopefully we push on a bit

This. If you were expecting a five-star performance after two disappointing and lacklustre performances then you are always going to be disappointed. It will take a few games to get into any sort of rhythm, but there have been signs as this half as gone on. As long as the players keep battling.

Last 10 mins or so was better. Let's have more of that going in to the second half. COYS

Again this season we are our own worst enemies. Defenders getting themselves into trouble with tight passing between themselves and not playing the ball to a midfield outlet. Giving the ball away too cheaply yet again but at least not as much as on saturday.
Dembele is not the man to link defense to attack, too many touches, too many back passes. This is when we really need Winks in there.
Front 4 nothing to complain about, just wish they'd shoot more.

We lack legs all over the pitch, Kane, Dembele, Dier and Davies all run like they're knee deep in treacle.
