Didn't watch the match due to the lack of coverage here in the US, but has it occurred to anyone that Lamela needed to be subbed for fitness reasons? He's among the most injury-prone players in the squad and is coming off of a muscle issue.

That's not to excuse the crisis we're in. The cataclysmic, historically unprecedented failure to sign a single fucking player has cast a spectre over this entire season. The fans were completely shell-shocked and I have no doubt, particularly in light of the of the way we have played thus far, reacted the same way. It was undeniable proof of purchase lack of ambition on the pitch, and it had to be hugely unsettling to a group of players who thought they were building toward competing for trophies.

Poch is not blameless in all this, but raking him over the coals for what could have easily been a forced substitution seems wrong to me. The problem is not that Lamela was subbed per se, but rather that the squad is so thin that we can't cope with one player coming off without completely capitulating.
He is to fucking blame! awful substitutions. Kane is much better in the air than rose, and we knew they were going to press after scoring, and don't even get me started on Lamela off for Winks!

Sometimes, one should sub way earlier in the game. Other times, it is simply better to just not sub at all whatsoever. Pochettino never choses either of those at all.

How can Poch not see it does not work playing 3 CM's in midfield.
Because that's what got us through last year against RM and BVB and old generals always fight the last war. The difference however is that last year we thought it was tactical to sit back and counter but Poch was telling the truth and those teams forced us back. So now we are trying to actually 'play' with that formation and we are fucking exposed and open with no control of the game.

He could have taken Kane off for Llorente around the 75 min mark. It would have kept a presence up front, including a target for Lucas’ great runs and also kept the aerial ability to defend set pieces.

The Kane for Rose sub at 88 mins was just stupid.
It's got to the point where one has to ask whether Kane offers less than Llorente.

The Moura sub for Son made sense. They were tiring and the momentum was with. And he looked tasty too. But then to sub Lamela for Winks was so weird. It changed our whole formation, which we were getting to grips with and starting to go through the gears. Lamela, Moura Eriksen and Kane would have terrified the fuck out of them and dragged them deeper into their half. It’s inexplicable he reverted to a bastardised system from the weekend that was disasterous for us then. And was again tonight. But this was even worse because we were largely in control. Fucking weird and fucking worrying. Makes no sense for a man who rarely changes things in a game when they’re working for him

How can anyone blame Levy? This is the exact same squad that beat and drew with Madrid, that beat Dortmund twice, drew with Juventus away from home etc. There is a distinct lack of pressing, lack of motivation and lack of concentration on the pitch. Is that Poch's fault? Is the blame with the players? Who knows? It's so lazy to blame the chairman but if I started performing at 70% in my job you would blame me first, then my manager.

Personally I don't understand why anybody CAN'T blame Levy!

I think you are massively downplaying the psychological aspect of football. This season was lost before we kicked a ball.

We were all absolutely trashing Levy a month ago. Now suddenly we are losing game after game and its not his fault?? I am not having that.

I hope Poch break some things in the dressing room.. I hope the lads break into a fight. They must feel the anger. If they don't clearly they just fucking don't care.

We won’t make top 4 6th at best. Vorm Davies Dier Dembele Winks not good enough. Levy & Lewis have taken this club as far as they can/want. Fucking fuming!! Whoever didn’t envisage this with NO new signings was burying their head in the sand.
It’s 6 games into the season and only a 3 game winless streak, albeit all defeats. These players helped take us to 3rd, 2nd, 3rd in last three seasons. Calm down. It’s bad but not line them up and shoot the culprits bad. Dodgy form is all it is.

Probably not the time for humour, but the only input I have at the moment is this :

Dier needs to be put down. Never let him near a football in a spurs shirt. The guy is a fucking disaster. If it’s not blind back passes, it’s sideways balls, giving the ball away or pussying out of tackles. Bring back Wanyama of 2016-17
Totally agree. His ship has sailed. Time to give Wanyama a run of games. You can't tell me he'll be any more clumsy, flat footed and slow than Dier.

With the lack of signings, the stadium delay, Hugo getting in to trouble and other off-field problems, the mood around the club stinks at the moment. There's no excitement, no ambition. Nobody expects anything from us because, once again, we're the underdogs. We have nobody to blame but ourselves. This is stagnation.
That kicked in the balls feeling I had on deadline day is back again
