Poch probably one of our best managers I seen in my time but jeez he needs to learn a thing or two from people like dare I say Maureen to know how to gain those small percentages in games like these. It was clearly visible last season but our team just don't seem to have the ability to take the sting out of the game in matches such as this.

He's trying to be too clever mate imo. Trying to win games from the side lines, instead of letting the players on the pitch do it. He has been criticised in the past for being tactically naïve and slow to react, and I think he's consciously trying to address that. Problem is he is getting it very wrong. He should stick to what he's good at, improving the players, and motivating them to get the best out of them, and just let them do what they do. Constantly changing things is causing confusion, and creating doubt in the players minds, and it's costing us big.

Play to your strengths Poch, play to your fucking strengths!!!

I hope Poch break some things in the dressing room.. I hope the lads break into a fight. They must feel the anger. If they don't clearly they just fucking don't care.

I totally agree with you. This team needs fire, they need to get pissed so it doesn't happen again, it's three straight defeats already.

Not sure how anyone cannot put most of the blame here on Levy. The players and coaching staff look disillusioned. Going into the summer, there was supposed to be a brand new stadium for a young team with CL football for third straight year. It was the perfect moment to go for it, push further, make a real commitment to getting a trophy or two from this promising group.

That didn't happen obviously. I think just watching the players and Poch this year - they seem different. Like they were let down and now don't know what to do.

I sadly do believe this is the start of a major downturn for the club. Many of these top notch players will now look to move on with a disappointing season. We had our moment and Levy pissed it away. Sad really.
It’s 6 games into the season and only a 3 game winless streak, albeit all defeats. These players helped take us to 3rd, 2nd, 3rd in last three seasons. Calm down. It’s bad but not line them up and shoot the culprits bad. Dodgy form is all it is.
youre kidding.....right?

Anyone else notice the performance downturn after Levy paid out a bucket load of money to himself. Players are not stupid. Levy’s the one who has taken the heart out of our club.

Didn't watch the match due to the lack of coverage here in the US, but has it occurred to anyone that Lamela needed to be subbed for fitness reasons? He's among the most injury-prone players in the squad and is coming off of a muscle issue.

That's not to excuse the crisis we're in. The cataclysmic, historically unprecedented failure to sign a single fucking player has cast a spectre over this entire season. The fans were completely shell-shocked and I have no doubt, particularly in light of the of the way we have played thus far, that the players reacted the same way. It was undeniable proof of our lack of ambition on the pitch, and it had to be hugely unsettling to a group of players who thought they were building toward competing for trophies.

Poch is not blameless in all this, but raking him over the coals for what could have easily been a forced substitution seems wrong to me. The problem is not that Lamela was subbed per se, but rather that the squad is so thin that we can't cope with one player coming off without completely capitulating.

Lamela was doing OK and causing problems, didn't look like he was struggling IMO.

He can be blamed for not improving the squad, he can be blamed for the uncertainty surrounding the stadium that creates an unsettled atmosphere.

Maybe it's not all his fault, but he must share some of the responsibility as the head of the club.

It's not all his fault, but he's not blameless either.

True, to a degree.

If I was Levy I’m fucked if I’m taking the blame for Eric Dier and Ben Davies looking like league one players though!

How far we have come that losing a game in the CL makes people lose their shit?

Losing the game isnt really the issue - its the symptom not the cause. The cause is we didnt strengthen, we stopped in our tracks, we have become stale which has culminated in our performances this season.

I am still optimistic but the manner of this defeat will be gut wrenching for the players and can see the next three games being tough as fuck. Funnily enough I do think Barca game will be where we come back to our selves

Fuck sake. Did I just dream that?
Yet ANOTHER fucking header. What the hell is happening to us?
I was completely deflated when they even got the equaliser!!!!
Now just feel sick.
Can’t remember feeling so low after watching this team. Much, much worse than Saturday.
This is a truly horrible feeling. It’s like the team/manager we love is slowly falling apart in front of our eyes.
Make no mistake that Inter team aren’t a great team.
You cannot lose a game like that after winning with 5 mins to go.
This team looks shot to pieces.
The whole mood of the club is in a very bad way. We are in serious trouble and not sure how we’re going to get out of it.

The United scoreline flattered us. We were the better side overall (more so in the second half) but not deservedly by the final scoreline.

Yeah but then he slaughtered them in the press conference before Watford. I thought it a mistake at the time and it showed in that performance and since.

Anyone surprised? Not me, saw it coming a mile away, the attitude of our players fucking stinks this season and Poch taking Lamela off when we were looking like we might get a second (with a bit more effort and drive we would've) killed all our momentum! We are a fucking shambles at the moment!! I hope Levy is enjoying inspecting the bank balance.
there is a thing trying to protect Levy and trying to protect that we didn’t make a few very good signings. i don’t care what anyone says, it has taken the punch and the heart out of the whole team and poch. everyone thought this was the start of something and now we are back in the real la la land. where people think you can stay in the top four of the toughest league in the world without investment in the team. you can’t fucking stay there. why do you think everyone else invests in it’s principal saleable goods, in this case that means good football on the pitch. not good figures in the bank. spending nothing was a message to the team, the manager and to all of us.
