Hard to be we just lost to a team who is currently 15th in the Italian League.

I guess its a sign of where we are at atm.

After a few games, not at Christmas. Keep it in perspective.

I'm as gutted as the next Spurs fan with our current run, the performances/style of play in picking those results and throwing away leads which in the last couple of years is unheard of for us. Buts lets be honest and realistic here, (BTW I'm not picking you out @Twizzle above anyone else you were the last post) our players havent become bad overnight, our squad is as good as most of the top 6 and our best 11 can beat anyone.

We're on the back of a long season, a world cup with a massive amount of Spurs players involved (a credit to the club and how far we have come) and minimal pre-season. Others are in a similar position but I fail to see how much of a difference signing 1 or 2 players would have made. Lucas is like a new signing but the guys know him.

We're having a blip, a wobble and based on the last few years a 3 game losing streak is massive for us now. But we expect one defeat in 10 at the most so 3 hurts.

We'll be ok, we're playing teams we could only dream of playing regularly and they are not expecting a walk in the park.

This squad has worked their butt off for the past three years. They've then worked their butt off over a World Cup. How long can they be expected to keep trying every year if the club isn't investing? Same for Poch. How long is he supposed to keep caring if he isn't backed?

And please, don't anyone feed me the "Poch didn't need to be backed" crap. The man had been very explicit over the course of the past season. New players, signed early. Be brave. The tune only changed the second he got a multimillion pound pay rise and knew he needed to tow the party line.

I don't think it's about 'caring'. They care alright. It's just a squad full of players running low on emotional energy, if anything. And were in desperate need of reinforcements for a morale and energy boost. A feeling that this is still moving forward.

Last summer's negligence in the transfer marker was a monumental, historical fuck up that people will possibly end up looking back on as the moment it all fell apart.

I'm usually positive but there's been something oddly heartless and soulless about our last few performances.

Just been an odd few weeks for pretty much everything around the club really.

Need to pull ourselves together sharpish and start fighting as a team again. Not seeing the belief that I've become used to though.

Feeling pretty deflated.

We've got a point more in the league than this time last year. We have lost an away tie in the san siro. The position isn't as bad as some people think. What is bad is the way we have given the ball away so many times in every game. Someone said the players haven't become bad players overnight - but our passing has! We look like a team of Sissoko's

Looks like investment and faith in the Liverpool team and its manager is paying off right now.

I agree completely BUT...

We are kinda outspending everyone, a billion pounds ! Crazy money

I think if we didn't get that nonsense rumour about 150 million to 250 in the summer to spend then we'd all be more sympathetic.

We're broke, if we don't sell we can't buy. Not ITK, just a common sense educated guess

I feel sorry for Poch. Yes he messed up with the subs today but his brain is frazzled. He signed a new contract and must've thought investment was coming. I think he was trying to convince others to sign up like Eriksen who he even went to meet in Denmark. We had ITK that Dele and Eriksen were going to sign up but they probably waited to see if we were going to be ambitious and we didn't.

The investment didn't happen and then there's the crap with the stadium as well. Remember Poch has overachieved with the lowest budget of the top 6.

I think there is now a deep malaise at the club and I can see us losing players and back to fighting for 6th.

The trouble is we almost always want to buy cheap and sell top dollar. Sometimes that's not always possible but we seem to pursue that strategy regardless.

Poch to blame tonight for our defeat, however, I am still confused why the owners ENIC invested with the clubs money heavily into an art of a stadium and did not invest further into the team, its like buying a very expensive Cabin Cruiser without an engine. I really blame Enic and Levy for our present situation.

I am dejected. A broken, beaten man. This has been the worst 4 day period imaginable.

Good job you didn’t live through Spurs in the 90’s mate. Although I’m sure you were around during AVB’s time, so maybe you’ve just blanked that out.

But yes, it has been a shite few days of football.

I was very worried about tonight, because Inter have had a lot of investment; they won't be 15th at the end of the season. That's why it is disappointing that we lost. Sometimes, a draw is like a win, so once Icardi scored we had to have a siege mentality. The fact is that many players are mentally tired and that is what is leading to late mistakes. We'll just have to beat them at home and aim for two wins against PSV.
