He turned us down because he really wanted the Man U job and knew he had to wait a couple of years for it. It's well known. Can't believe any Spurs fan wouldn't know about it to be fair.

Scholar nearly got a lot of things right.
There’s a huge element of luck in footy. That FA cup goal saved fergie his job.Class of 92.We nearly sold bale for £2m.Poch kane dele all at same time.Yes we are now very well run compared to say a West Ham.But Theres still huge amounts of luck involved so the stars align.Imagine if bale had happened in this period.

Alec Ferguson who managed Chelmsford City, Witham Town and Yeading FC? Scholar was a prick for not getting him on board, we'd be bigger than Real madrid

No, in Scottish it’s Alec. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-22449415

8. Alex or Alec?
Many people in football refer to him as Sir Alec, assuming that his Scottish background will mean his name is pronounced in that way. But Scotland is strangely split on the Alex/Alec question, with people slipping between the two, often without noticing. BBC Sportsound presenter Richard Gordon said he had found himself using both forms. He said that former Ferguson colleague Willie Miller often calls him Alec when talking on the radio and ex-Scotland manager Craig Brown is prone to using the informal Alec, quickly followed by the more respectable Sir Alex. Carole Hough, professor of onomastics, says she can think of no particular reason why people would choose one or the other, except that Alec is slightly shorter. She said both names were popular in Scotland and England, with Alec perhaps having more currency north of the border.
