Because he's been coming back from a long term injury. Lots of players get injured during warm-ups. All of these are pretty simple to understand.

He had better assist stats than Eriksen before he got injured second time. You're pretty easy to argue with. I'd have more difficulty with a five year old. Minor point: our manager rates him.
