I’m really not good at this stuff so can someone please inform me, what Lewis and Levy job really is

The money we spend is from our income and Lewis pocket am I right? It’s just that Levy handles the money am I right? Levy controls things but for example this summer we didn’t buy anyone is it all Levy fault?

As I said someone who knows this stuff well can you please help me out

Not sure anyone really knows the reason we didn't buy anyone apart from Levy,Lewis and Poch.
The last I read was there were funds available but Poch didn't wanna just spend it for the sake of it.

At the end of the day...Levy isn't the money man in THFC, Lewis is.
No doubt if Lewis said to Levy, 'Spend what you want, win us a title', he do exactly that.

Unfortunately Levy is an easy target for the ignorant though, he always gets it in the neck.

Another question is why we need to point a finger after every defeat? If we won today would we be asking who needs to take the plaudits? Are we really in a situation where someone needs to answer for the position we find ourselves in?

Levy is doing extremely well and we've got great owners.
We used to be mid table, now should be 6th, yet are performing better.
Training ground and new stadium has laid foundation for probably 50 good Spurs years to come.

There's things to be frustrated about, but anyone qualified to comment would say there are doing the right thing for us with a long term perspective. Cry about not being owned by filthy rich tyrants and slave owners if you like. Liverpool and United's financial power was founded way before our owners took over.

Has it really helped Arsenal at all?

It has solidified them as a top 6 club. Think we've built even better infrastructure than them though, and I hope we'll carry the financial investment better. Throw money at players in stead and it's a short term philosophy that quickly can make us mid table again.

I'm just saying if anything Arsenal have gone backwards since their stadium opened, so not exactly confident that its going to take us to the next level. Trophies and money are what take clubs to the next level unfortunately.

I need the plaudits. Its not really open for debate. Give me all the plaudits.

but Arsenal where winning trophies regular before they moved in, and made massive mistakes in the namings rights.

ok we haven't got a namings right yet, but I expect Levy to get a better deal. if we stayed at the old stadium there was no better chance of winning trophies, and definitely never going to be in a position to pay better wages, and a bigger chance we would lose more players than we might by next summer.

the stadium will mean players can be offered a better wage when we try to sign them, and they might sign for us instead of others. I know a long shot but Levy might (I know he most probably won't) not cut corners that will make the difference when possible signings like Mane come up.

why not wait and see what difference it makes

Their regression isn't to do with the stadium though. They had money (at one point as much cash in the bank as the rest of the pl combined). They didn't spend it. Or if they did it was not on high enough quality.

At the end of the day they spent more than us but we overtook them. As did chelsea, city and now liverpool.

Main issue for Arsenal have been more about City and Spurs coming to the table, than the stadium investment. They've dropped for sure, but I'm not sure it's down to the stadium as much as other factors. Wenger ageing, no longer alone in the french footballer market. Money is of course essential, and we even know that they had part owners willing to fund them, luckily the controlling owner prefer to keep them making money for the owners in stead of building a stronger football team.
I'm not totally aware of their stadium situation past and present, but there's a good chance their stadium as well was important for them to remain high in the food chain. Im certain it is for us. Any club can of course succeed if a rich enough owner is willing to spend money to do so, for us fans to expect it from them however is borderline delusional. I'm happy that we've gone for the stadium, and would rather take that than 5 good years before a collapse. The way I see it we're a main stay in the upper echelon of the Premier League and it's due to Levy's strategy.

Enough money would make us even better yes, but where are they coming from? There's no reason for an investment firm to spend silly money on players, they won't get it back. We'd only stay strong until those players' contracts ran out, then our owners are supposed to throw more money to keep us up there from their own pocket? Good for us fans yes, but why should the owners do it?
Nothing stops fans from getting filthy rich and spend their own money if they want to. Our owners aren't preventing one of the richest people in the world to do it neither, if someone is willing to buy us they are willing to sell - they're an investment company.
Sure a rich enough owner can do it, one that doesn't care about profit. I hear the king of Saudi Arabia is looking for a club, to help on his public profile in the west and to replace penis comparison with his neighbor states. Let's just turn a blind eye to his regime having people killed and tortured even in other countries than his own.
Only trophies that matter and build clubs are CL and PL title, everything else is of less importance than top 4 when it comes to building the club. I wished it was different.

Also, people should be careful of expecting the new stadium to take us to the next level. I suspect it was necessary to even keep us at where we are and to keep pace with Arsenal and Liverpool.

That's what I'm doing. I'm just saying I don't fully agree with everyone saying its a no brainer the stadium will take us up a level. Sure it'll look pretty but whats done on the field is what matters.

providing when we do make a signing we don't waste it then who knows what level we will go to. the thing is when Arscum where in the process you had Abramovic take over at Chelsea, they then suffered due to the naming rights and City came along.

going to be hard to go up a level until we get in there and then see what Lewis/Levy does. if it does effect us then all we will see is this squad get dismantled, just like it did to Arscum. the one thing is the stadium, and good deals is the only thing that will get us to another level

Naming rights?

I think that has already been done along with the kit deal until 2033.

Ive only heard about the kit deal with Nike. not heard that the stadium is in it, or it would of been all over the news, and mentioned when stadium chat comes up by sky or whoever saying "when they move into the Nike arena or whatever)
