I don't think that it's fixed but it's a little bit annoying when a team like City end up with a jammy draw but that's life.

It really does seem we have no luck when the draw comes out but I still would rather play Barcelona at a packed Wembley Stadium than say Lokomotiv Moskva. There are fans of other clubs out there that want an easy ride to the quarter or semi finals but I say bring on the biggest teams now and enjoy the ride COYS ???❤

That's the seeding system though, you're always gonna have a weak group every year.

FIFA were, are and always will be corrupt and shady as shit. If draw rigging does go on then it's probably only once in a thousand, and ultimately it's not like they've made the impossible happen, so as long as no-one was making dollars from this by betting on the outcome of the draw, it makes practically no difference.

The only concern I would have is the motivation behind fixing particular draws - bribe money from clubs for an easy match up seems like the only logical reason, but look at who it's involving - Real Madrid can magic bajillions out of thin air, where FFP is assumed to be a fever dream, like they give a shit. If someone shut that down then they'd send the money another way, or to another one of their compadres on the FIFA big wigs committee, they probably have a half a dozen minions in there at any one time.

Not sure about fixing the CL draw, their seeding system keeps the big teams away from each other and there's not much motivation for them do fix the groups but I'm pretty certain they've had heavy Influences in matches, for example the CL Semi between Barca and Chelsea (2009), as great as it was to see no one will ever tell me that that match wasn't fixed or the ref wasn't under instruction to favour Barcelona in that match.

To misquote the late, great Robin Williams; "do you think there may be corruption in soccer? Oh jeez, say it ain't so. Are you telling me that the Oscars may also be political, fuck off!"

It's not just the seeding system though.
They have to keep teams from the same country apart then they have to factor in TV dates for those countries and even the winter weather. You end up in a situation when the draw is almost pointless as teams could never face each other anyway.

Definitely fixed. They keep letting in other teams as good as / better than us, to stop us winning it.

Not fixed, but the seeding system and tv pairings at national level make some groupings almost inevitable

I've always thought that the draw (as i think it was done when it was the European Cup), should be a straigth draw form the off, forget the Group Stage and just have a plain old dog, eat dog.
