So with Us, Chelsea and City out is it starting to show that a lot of the big teams just do not care for this competition anymore. I mean the Capital one cup has a semi final of 3 of the top 6-7, and an exciting Wembley final. Maybe the FA cup is starting to go obsolete. Thoughts anyone?

Also to add to the fact you can't find a legal or illegal broadcast of it anywhere so how can we support a cup we can't even watch?

I got a full house. What is my reward admin? :-D

lol, I think we weren't good enough today trying to say the Capital One cup is better wont make up for the disappointment.

I'm absolutely gutted and pissed off we've gone out of the cup, we went out of it because we were dumb. We don't get much of a chance to get glory, we have to take every opportunity we can get.

It may not be what it once was but it's still a good competition. We'd be saying it's a brilliant one because of the upsets today if it weren't for us suffering one. I think people would think differently if we'd have won today, or even managed to get to the final.

As long as we win the Capital one cup I won't be too disappointed. To be honest when Leicester scored the last thing I wanted was a replay at theirs and then to lose. I am pissed we went out though, but more happy it was this way so our players wont be knackered. Bad day at the office.

I thought the magic of the FA Cup and what made it so special was the lower league teams beating the top tier teams?

Magic for the lower but it seems a lot of the top teams are not that fussed. I mean look at the team we fielded! The fact Kaboul is playing says it all.

lol just because we are shit, and don't kid yourself, that team should not be losing to Leicester Shitty and because Man City and Chelsea get knocked out doesn't make it a Mickey Mouse Cup. In fact, it makes it more like the FA Cup.

They played against Middlesbrough and Bradford City. Their teams had world class players. Aguero, Silva, Kompany, Fabregas, Drogba etc.

This is a stupid question.

It's on the brink of being more hassle than its worth for some clubs. Especially in a game where prestige means increasingly little and money increasingly everything.

I would suggest you gain more money, or very close to, for finishing one place higher in the Premier League than you receive for winning the FA cup. Hence why some teams arnt fussed.

Conversely, for lower league teams you get more money for playing a big club like Chelsea, than finishing 1 place higher in the league.

Also you have the added fixture congestion progression brings for premier league teams already in Europe, league cup semis (like us.

Together with the timing of the competition, being mid season for prem teams, mid European adventure, end stage of the league cup....It's easy to see why prem teams don't really turn up.

Finally, for small teams playing a Chelsea for example, it IS their cup final both financially and prestigiously.

In short....Yes it's a hassle for alot of Prem teams, but a pleasure for most league teams.

Not exactly set up for a great final though with all the big teams out lol! Like I said this competition is great for the lower teams, but it seems a lot of the big teams don't care anymore. It's not a stupid question because you can see the change in mentality when it comes to the top teams.

Pretty insulting for you to assume the only reason Leicester, Palace, Bradford & Boro won today was because the big teams didn't care.

But when the big teams go through without any fuss people say the Cup isn't what it used to be.

It's not insulting because look at the team we fielded. If we wanted to win this surely we would start with our best players? Like I said it's good for the lower teams and the money they get as well..

I mean Chelsea left Fabregas and Hazard on the bench as well. Just goes to show to be honest.

this season the of the table is really looking tight, less then 10 points different from 3rd to 8th. many teams decided to rotate and take a risk. sometimes i pays off, other times it back fires. thats life.

I wish people would just stop saying "no" and back up their argument. I am going on evidence here. Look at the teams Us and Chelsea fielded. Why have your best players on the bench if you want to win this competition.
