This comes up every year, and it makes me cringe. People on here talking about a conspiracy to keep the “Sky 4” successful and to make sure the likes of Spurs, Everton, Accrington Stanley etc don’t get a chance to win things.

I’ve seen reasoning from -

We play after our rivals, it’s not fair.
We play before our rivals, it’s not fair.
There’s too many Arsenal types on Sky
There’s too many Liverpool types on Sky
Sky/ BT give too much positive coverage to the money clubs
Sky/ BT are trying to sell our players.
Etc.

Personally I think it’s a load of bollocks. There’s no conspiracy at work, and it’s the kind of thing we would completely rip the piss out of if someone said it on RAWK, Redcafe, or Bluemoon.

Less so now because we’re better but Sky and their chosen clubs have long looked down on us.

We can do it to other clubs now. Cool.

There are more Arsenal, Yanited and Pool pundits because they are the three most supported clubs. think about how many Spurs pundits there are compared to say City ones. There are certainly individuals in the media that have an axe to grind(and do), but there's certainly no big conspiracy.

The media outlets are selling their product and they know what creates ratings and brings in income. It may seem like more, but making money is their only agenda.

No.

Can't make up my mind which way A&C will vote in this poll, though.

EDIT - Shame on you, @Tucker, for not making people's votes visible in the poll... I smell a conspiracy...

I don't think so.

However the Leicester winning season should be looked at with some scrutiny, the number of players and coaches that came out saying they wanted Leicester to win it was disgraceful, you could see teams ramp it up when playing us. I also remember the Swansea Manger at the time saying he wanted his good friend to do it and then play without a striker!

So you do then.

No, I don't think there was anything going on last season and nothing this year.

But you do have to question the integrity of some of the coaches and players, from that season.
Ah, so corruption then?

No, but if I ever have to listen to Alan Smith's anti-Spurs commentary ever again I'll vomit.

He’s not as bad as he used to be. When he first started commentating he was bloody awful, he’s improved a lot. Still shouldn’t be doing th Spurs v Arsenal games though.

There's no conspiracy but there's blatantly too many biased anti spurs people in the media

Are there though? Are people anti Spurs, or just not pro Spurs. There’s a distinct difference there. We all see things through the eyes of fans. The pundits and commentators don’t. I think a lot of people see that as anti Spurs or bias, when it’s more accurate to say that it’s a balanced opinion.

Look at the stick Rachel Riley got last year, when she asked if we’d bottled it. She wasn’t saying anything that any other neutral onlooker wasn’t thinking.

We had no one to blame but ourselves that season. We lost at home to Leicester and drew too many games before Christmas.

This is it, its easier for some people to believe that something fishy was going on than to just accept that we weren't good enough to win it.

The only conspiracy is what generates the most money. Nobody reports on football to "be fair" they report to make money. So there is a bias because how to profit from football news is biased. But there is no conspiracy.

My theory is that when we are in a position that would generate a whole lot of money, the media won't get enough of us. For instance when we are actually top of the league for a few weeks, I'm sure we won't hear the end of Spurs this and Spurs that. There is a very media friendly story to sell about Spurs, but it presupposes that Spurs actually is number 1, and not only pushing a little bit from behind somewhere.

At the time of writing seven people think there's a conspiracy. If they actually truly believe it then that's staggering. Lets assume one or two are just voting for kicks, that still leaves five people roaming free among us who are a danger to themselves and society. I urge you to turn yourselves in. Feel free to be served one last time by Elvis down at your local Macdonalds, but do give yourselves up.
