And he wouldn't join without it.

The whole squad game argument is also nonsense, we make little use of this in the league campaign other than for injuries.

And Baring injury the likes of Kane, Ali, Alderwield, Eriksen have and will play the majority of PL matches.

I really do not understand this hype with Isco, a good player yes but you would believe him to be the next Xavi or Innesta with the way some clamour for him.

I dont think anybody is comparing him to Xavi or Iniesta however he is undoubtably a superbly talented player.

But not one we should be purchasing as we have Ali, a far superior talent.

Very different players - Alli is a superb prospect no doubt but so is Isco (albeit his career has stalled for a year or two at Madrid).

Different players playing the same postion, neither can play the wing forward role so it is one of the other. And you would have to be insane to choose Isco over Ali.

Isco is more of a Eriksen "replacement" than Dele - in terms of style of play. Isco is a playmaker.

Eriksen can play the wing forward role, Isco cannot. There is no sense in spending that amount on Isco only to then play him out of postion.

Our 'front four' interchange all the time. As would Isco in Madrid's system.

Isco is more than capable of playing in any of those positions including much deeper.

If Isco cannot play the wf role what role can he play?

We won't stay in any formation religiously.
No, but we will have a primary formation where our best XI fit - that is where you want their strengths.

Certainly it helps if you have players capable of playing in different positions - but we will settle on a primary formation/role/tactic. As others have said - Isco can play in any spot behind the striker. So its not really an issue here.

No one here anyway, but everyone out of Malaga and the media were saying that he's the the Iniesta, they are different players mind you but I think Isco is a player who will drop further back and become a regista the older he gets.

That's just not true.

Isco made his name at Malaga playing out on the left a lot of the time, so where have you got that he can't play in Eriksen's position from?

Imho, the only thing stopping this side from winning lots and lots of trophies and titles, is an inability to create chances against weaker sides when Eriksen is out of form. Eriksen is a top playmaker anyone says otherwise, just has a personal dislike for him, however he is inconsistent, but i think it's grossly unfair to expect a player with his role to be able to perform the way he has over this current run. That's why we need to be able to unearth a second playmaker happy to take the backseat mostly, but also with the ability to step in when Eriksen isn't creating. Isco I don't think would be willing to accept this role and I don't think there is many players out there in general like this, but would he ever complete us. I just wonder if this is just too much to ask for?

I don't think this is going to happen, but from what I've seen of Isco he's not really similar to Eriksen or Alli at all. He's got very quick feet and can beat a man, although I don't think he's got blistering pace. In fact I'd probably say he threatens Lamela's place more than anyone and looks more of a Coutinho type player.

Was about to say exactly the same, Isco is more then capable of playing on the left cutting in and Eriksen has been starting on the right quite a bit of late anyway.

And both of his assists against Chelsea came from the right.

Scored 2 today and looked rather happy about it. Can't see this happening in any way shape or form.
