The player can say what he likes, if someone like L'Pool pops in with say a 30M bid I'm not sure what he wants will have any relevance.

Are you new to common sense? He has all the leverage in the world. Villa need to sell to stay afloat. He is their most liquid and valuable asset. He doesn't have to sign a new contract with Liverpool or anyone else. If he wants to go only to Tottenham or Wolves or Lazio, he ain't going anywhere but those places.

Now that said, he is very fond of AV, and may go somewhere other than first choice out of love for his boyhood club (if they pay more thereby aiding his boyhood club's survival more). But make no mistake, he is holding all the cards.

Are the people on COYS not taking him seriously?

Scared to criticise in the main. The poster has said he’d varify his source with mods. He’s got about 60 posts.

How likely does it sound we’d spend £36m on grealish? There’s your answer as to how true it is, is.

there is no way we are spending 36m on him
Maddison went for 25m, thats the ballpark, and they are desperate for cash and think has 2 years left and wont sign another
would guess at 22m with addons to take it to 28m if it went through

110 pages for a non proven PL player.... we must be all desperate:cry:
I really dont get this.

Aaron Mooy is linked with a move away from Huddlesfield. He had a great first season in EPL, looked fantastic for Australia vs France at World Cup.

And his rumoured price is £18m, cheaper than £25m, which is what Villa wants for Grealish.

Why do we just simply buy Mooy who is the better and more established player.

Because he’s 28 years old and isn’t the player our manager wants.

Aaron is a great player. He is no real spring chicken though. He is going to be 28 in September. The three clubs looming are Everton, Southampton and West Ham. Anyone but the last is ok!
But at the end of the day, I guess Poch see's some serious upside in Jack. That's good enough for me.

In terms of transfers, I’m looking forward to the World Cup ending and us moving onto getting some proper players in. Nothing seems to be happening on this, maybe we’ve moved on or parked it. If we really wanted him you’d think we would have tied it all up by now.

Neither is really good enough for us, the thought with Grealish is that he might become.
We need the top players in the world, with them out of the reach we must try to find those with said potential. Besides, If we came in for Mooy his price would double.

the thing is as has been mentioned he is nearly 28, whereas Grealish is 22 and is a definite prospect. He has some PL experience, and would be an addition to the HG quota we need, so that we can have a full squad involved in the CL.

many have mentioned about using youth prospects, and to be fair if we was in the EL I would agree. I would rather have Grealish on the bench for a CL match, compared to either 1 less squad player or a youth prospect, that has never kicked a ball on any big stage.

think Villa need to get money in by the end of June, the closer that gets the more desperate they get, the happier D Levy will be with the price

I'm told they have sorted the short term issues(this months tax man and wages) but their debts are spiraling out of control. Will be a transfer embargo shortly if they fail to meet payments to other clubs, which is looking likely if they don't sell someone, and soon.

Championship has to do something, 99% of their clubs revenue goes on players wages. We are going to see a lot of clubs in a similar position to villa.

I originally rated this ‘like’ but on reflection I don’t like it because of poor Villa’s position. You get an informative instead. I hope they get a fair price for the guy based on his worth.

I don't see what the football league can do tbh. Villa are too big and too well supported to go to the wall, but they have to be made to sort things out by themselves.

I dont have the sympathy you have, they spent massively and gambled on promotion, now they have to pay the price
Fair play for gambling but if you lose then they most have known the consequences
