The deal has not been finalised but it's as good as. All about structure and how/when it's paid now.

Grealish is better participating in pre season than not, as far as him being ready for us is concerned.

Hopefully it's all sorted before we fly off to the US - would be a perfect opportunity for him to impress with half our squad missing.

There's a video on YouTube called Jack Grealish - Season overall. If you've got a bit of time on your hands watch it. I think he's an absolute gem

Last time I commented on something like this I was shot down! He is very, very one footed - right. That slightly hinders him. Gazza could go by people by using 2 feet. I am not talking about being 2 footed at all, but just using it to touch the ball on to himself. It is not until about 7 minutes into the film that he does and then starts using it more as the video progresses. Is this something he's consciously been working on I wonder and even maybe why he's improved as the season progressed? Of course he then hits the post with a left foot shot!

Second thought. Maybe be should be the mentor for Marcus Edwards. Demonstrate how a wonder kid can progress if he gets his head down, which he appears to have done.

Just can't get excited about this at all.

Where are the top quality signings to propel us to 1st place?

How many signings have we made recently that have got us to where we are now? Likewise how many exciting signings have turned out to be flops?

How many utter genius footballers have been mostly one footed? Quite a lot.
Practically all of them. Modric, for example, is happy enough on his left if he has space and time, but close him down and he goes fully right footed.
Kane and Eriksen are the only players we have who are comfortable enough on both feet to take the ball into contact.

With respect this is bollocks imo. The best teams don't necessarily have all the best individuals. I've always thought it to be more about how the individual parts function as a unit and the balance of talents within a team. Of course individual quality is very important but I don't think it's the be all and end all.

If we signed the right kind of midfield player(s) of a decent standard then I honestly think we could win the title. You seem to be forgetting that we already have 'guys like Bale, Ronaldo and Mbappe' in Eriksen, Kane and potentially Alli.

There's no chance we'd be able to buy most of our current XI from other clubs so the talent is already there. It just needs one or two additions where the balance is not right.

I agree entirely. What's bollocks is the guy I quoted assuming signing big players will propel us above City. Grealish may work very well in our system, he could work wonders for us, but he isn't exciting enough apparently.

That was the May ITK. Haven't you heard? We're now onto the July ITK, which says we'll hopefully, maybe end up stronger than we were before the window opened. Strap yourself in, it's going to be a hell of a ride over the next three weeks…

The only players that will propel us above City are guys like Bale, Ronaldo and Mbappe. We can't afford them. Sorry.

Yeah of course, just those three. Actually players like Mane, Salah, Firminio have all been signed by Liverpool in recent seasons and would all significantly add options to our attack which I think would enable us to challenge for the title. The reason I mention those three is because they feasibly are the type of players that should be "affordable" as you put it, for spurs.

There are no guarantees any signing will be a success but you can't pretend to me that Grealish is the best type of signing we can make.

I've nothing against signing Grealish but if it's the height of our ambition this summer then we are fucked.

Sorry.

We are able to sign more than one player per transfer window.

No you're not. Also in what way are we "fucked"?

Spurs need to make three signings which instantly improve the first 11.

These positions are WF, CM and CB or Striker (back up to Kane).

Martial would cover WF and striker. CB no idea. CM it is highly debatable Grealish will make enough of an impact and is of the required quality to instantly improve our CM.

If he is, excellent but he's hardly a proven CL quality CM.

And what is stopping us signing an actual CM? What is stopping four players coming in?

Doesn't answer my question on how we're "fucked" if we sign players like Grealish who it's assumed Poch wants. Will all our players leave or something?
