I mean, im still hoping that mark guy from a few days ago was legitimate and this is nothing. Yes, Ill cling on to anything on this.

honest question, but how much viewing do you get of the Championship in the USA?

if this kid played in another country with an "O" on the end of his name you would most probably give him a chance, but because he is a Championship player 1 step down the ladder you won't give him a hope

To Liverpool yes but our gate receipts will be way higher. I’m happy to bet that our turnover will be at least 95% of Liverpool’s for the upcoming season.

until the 1st season is out the way we won't be above them on gate receipts, and unless we start selling more shirts and other merchandise we won't be anywhere near them.

after visiting the season ticket thread it's worrying how much of our support will actually use the fantastic facilities we will have

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

Don't know about sensible... A lot of our signings struggle in their first season because of being brought in too late and not having had the benefit of a full Poch-preseason.
Poch didn't call on the club to be bold for no reason. Worried now that that plea seems to have fallen on deaf ears...

But then surely Levy hasn’t learned anything as we need players in prior to pre-season otherwise it affects our whole season.

Poch has said he wants players in for ore-season.

How much are we realistically saving by waiting till the end of the window?

Offset this with having players not conditioned right, not knowing our system and dropped points, performances etc.

We start the season poorly and it’s catch up all year.

Very short sighted IMO.

no quality signing will be involved in pre-season, not even Liverpool's signings due to playing in the WC

Not even those quality players not going to the World Cup ?

the positions we need I'd say will be involved. we have been linked with de Ligt not involved, but Ajax seem to want a bidding war. Martial doubt will happen unless it involves Toby, and Man U will delay that as long as it takes, because they won't want him having a good pre-season plus Toby is involved and most probably not available at the moment. and if their is any hope with Bale or any player from RM, that won't happen till RM get their new manager

People who moan about a certain player without seeing him play consistently annoys me.If one the best managers in the world thinks he can make a player out of him then believe the man and stop crying ffs.

We don't have to agree with every player Poch wants/buys. He's had about a 50/50 record with attacking players. He also thought he could make a player out of/use Njie, Nkoudou, Janssen, and Llorente. I don't understand why we are just forced to accept and be thrilled about every move that happens at the club.

Believe him like we did on Njie or Nkoudou?

Look I’m not saying this deal won’t turn out good but the trust the manager doesn’t mean you can’t form you own opinion

I'm not saying you can't form your opinion or the manager is always right but if I don't want us to sign Jao Mario doesn't mean I'm gonna keep compalining for days .

Also getting a player for 15m to be used as a bench player shouldn't cause you all to lose your sleep at night.

I can understand leaving Villa but leaving to swap regular football to become a bit part player doesn't sound all that to me regardless of whether its Spurs or not

Maybe he feels that moving to a club where the manager and coaching staff have proven how good they are at developing talent is worth the sacrifice of not playing every game? Maybe he finally sees where he can develop his career to get what he wants from it? (y)

So? If our rivals pay more in agents fees to enable them to sign top players early fair play to them. I wish we did the same. What are Spurs? A bastion of football? Why do we feels it's beneath us to grease the wheels as much as the other big clubs?

It's the nature of the game and you either get involved or you don't. We pay far more for tickets yet Liverpool as a club can easily find the cash to pay agents to get deals done, whereas we can't? It doesn't add up. I'm not really fussed if it takes a big signing on fee to sign top players, if it's a player we want just get it done. It won't bankrupt us, we aren't that precarious.

this season we might, but we won't see that income properly till next summer. if we have every game as a sell out at home, our merchandise has a massive increase, and the facilities make a good taking, then we might see that next summer invested.

if we have a really bad start, and 4-5k + empty seats are not being purchased, our merchandise doesn't have a vast increase, and supporters turn up for the match, watch the match go home, and are not spending money on food and drink, then we can't warrant spending money we don't have yet
