Deal must be done already as Lyall is just now on the case :hilarious:

Lyall Thomas is a bell end!

What he means by "full story shortly" is he is waiting for some other media outlet to write it so he can nick it and call it his own. Then if it turns out to be untrue he will just delete it and make out it never existed, like he has done numerous times in the past.

Was Grealish on our original list of targets for this Summer?

No, but that was because a financially sound Villa would have wanted far too much for him, not because he wasn't rated highly.

Has Lyall Thomas ever had a profile picture on Twitter in which he doesn't look like an absolute weirdo? It's like every time he updates it, he tries to out-do the one from before.

Really struggling to get on board with this one. He hasn't particularly shone or performed anywhere consistently enough in an average Villa side playing in a poor league. If it was between him and Maddison I would personally go for Maddison.

Not sure why some people believe he is good enough to take that step up into one of the top three teams in the country, playing Champions League football and competing for titles. That is the reality of where we are now.

There's a bit from an ESPN article that already bodes well for us if we end up signing Jack.

.
At his best, Grealish is a joy to watch. He dictates Villa's attacking rhythm, finding pockets of space in the final third and gliding past defenders on driving runs towards goal.

" Having worked closely with Villa's strength and conditioning coaches this season, the 22-year-old has bulked up considerably, boasting impressive power to hold off opponents "

His attitude has been questioned in the past, but Grealish has shown the application to match his talent under Bruce. With his dribbling skills and eye for a killer pass, he is the key to unlocking opposition defences, possessing a powerful shot from distance.

I've interned/worked with several Strength and Conditioning coaches and I can say that Spurs have some of the best in the world. If he was that receptive to their advice at Villa, he's going to be joy for our S&C coaches. I predict he'll forge gym bromances with Eriksen and Kane, who are noted as the players who spend the most amount of time in the gym.

What did you think about Tripps or Dier three years ago when they signed for Spurs? Not much I guess but now they are probably in England best 11. Not mentioning Dele Alli...

He's easily been their best player this season and they are absolutely devastated he's going. He's outshone everyone quite considerably this season. For a team that isn't great, but still finished in the playoffs with the 3rd highest goals scored. He's not the superstar we all want, but he's far from a bad signing

He really had to improve his body, championship is brutal, most teams would try bully him to stop him controlling tempo and slow down Villa. He spent a lot of time on the floor, it's one of the reasons why I think he will do better in a team with better teammates.

May I also add, he was injured for the first half of the season and only started 19 games.

At the right price and coaching, I think we could well have another gem on our hands.

It is amazing how many people want us to stop doing the things that have helped our progress.

I like this one from "Heroes and Villians";

"Spurs and Potch are the best place for jack to develop so I hope he ends up there

But I hope there are some serious other interested parties or Levy will take us to the cleaners".

Maddison just seems to be a touch quicker in decision making. Grealish seems to dwell on the call a lot, fine in the championship but the standard is different here.
