Jack Grealish's Aston Villa future to be decided on Tuesday

A decision on Jack Grealish's Aston Villa future will be made on Tuesday as the club choose who stays and who goes this summer.

As concerns over Villa's perilous financial state continue, Steve Bruce will receive details of his annual transfer and wage budget - and with it, the likelihood that his £30m-rated midfielder will need to be sold to help balance the books.

They’ll have to sell a few more players to have any sort of a transfer budget. They’ll do well to prioritize loans for promising young players from PL academies on lowish wages(so, not from chelsea), sell some players to pay for the wages and hope for just enough quality to see themselves promoted or at least be in the discussion by january where a new owner can potentially bankroll a signing to boost their chances

From the little I have seen of them they have few players who would raise serious money with Grealish being the most valuable. How many loans are they allowed ? Isn’t their some limitation ?

That won’t happen. They’re not just very attractive to potential buyers, they’re very self-sustaining with a good number of high-value assets and a very well-run business model financially. Their loan system isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (it certainly isn’t mine) but anyone who thinks that they’re still reliant on Roman to remain one of the big 6 is deluding themselves. They’re a big name in their own right worldwide now sadly.

That's quite an optimistic view in my opinion, the loan system they use relies on them picking up the good youngsters from around the world subsidising their wages with loans out then selling them for a profit but they don't have the clear road any more as other teams are picking up those youngsters too and agents of the best are becoming wary.
That said you may well be right, it might be enough to keep them a top six side but that may be their limit, top six but not top three.

Problems of their own making trying to do a newcastle and bounce straight back rather than cutting costs to meet ffp.

There really should be relegation clauses in players contract that they take a paycut of say 40% off of anything over £20k a week rather than parachute payments.

I don't disagree but I don't think the Chinese government's clampdown on money leaving the country has helped in this instance.

Chelsea, Man City, Leeds, Brighton, Villa, all big clubs in some cases very big yet all nearly disappeared through financial incompetence. Yet it seems impossible to fail the FA tests for ownership .

They win the youth cup by playing the oldest players allowed and big fuckers too whereas other teams use their youth teams to develop young players.
That said those two will bring in some money but not the kind of money to maintain the level they've been at with the laundered money, as Luka Van Der Bale said, top six is about their limit going forward.

They can have eight players on loan, but can only field five in any one game. They can sign a maximum of four players from a specific club, of which only two can be over the age of 23.

Depends which forum you're on. Villa fans have seen both in the same team last season so are able to use that comparison. Onomah is younger though so that has to be taken into account as well.

Chelsea had operating losses of £54m in 2016/17 which they covered by profits on player trading, mainly the sale of Oscar. They blamed the losses on being out of the Champions League so they have another difficult year ahead. So either Abramovich will need to stump up or they’ll have to sell another big player. It’s not difficult to imagine Abramovich deciding that there are better things for him to do with his money now he can’t get a U.K. visa.
