Yes we all want shiny new toys but this window is different, we’ve been asked to pay up in a major way for our season tickets so not unreasonable to expect the club to step up.

can't remember where it was posted, but the main increases in season ticket prices has mainly been the east stand, the West are not much more than they were in the old WHL. Levy froze prices quite a lot in the old stadium, so yes the East stand have seen a massive increase, and mainly those that purchased tickets at Wembley, but the real cheap ones at Wembley where up in the gods. the north and south have seen a lot smaller rise, but they where never going to be the same price.

as I said in the season ticket thread

as I've said a few times, they couldn't of sold the prices for the East to what they where in the old WHL, if they had done those at 2-3 hundred less then they would of had to drop the west instead of kind of freezing them as they are roughly the same. if they dropped those 2 by silly amounts, then the North and South would of needed to drop pretty steep too, which at the end of the day having to not only sell our best players to pay for it, we would be 5+ years more paying the same wages as before.

I’m paying 50% more for my West Stand ticket and I’ve got a worse ticket.

Agree with the season tickets, levy fucked upmthere especially not including cup games.

at the moment don't think we can afford to give 42k fans tickets to possibly what could be 2 top level CL matches. as I say, don't think we will know what this season is going to bring into the coffers till the end of this season.

you quoted my post with below, but you haven't picked up, that what you've paid this season, won't be in the coffers till next season.
You’ve lost me. Our season ticket revenues will be in the same financial period as our transfer activity this window.

they won't show up for the whole of the 21 games, if we had a really shit start, what happens if they don't sell out week in week out, what happens if the bars, food outlets, the shop the programmes don't bring in what they expect. if we fail to get out of the CL group we won't sell out for a Europa match, or might have nothing come in at all if we finish bottom, we won't know what the crowds will be for domestic cup matches, we might fail to get 1 home match. we won't see the benefits of this season till next summer

Isn't there an accountancy thread somewhere in Spurs chat for all this shit?

I'm not even an accountant (though it was the only O'level I did get) just the way I see how we would spend our money, and I'd expect it to be spent after we know exactly what we got instead of before

Well done to anyone there involved in possibly the most uninteresting conversation in human history

Nah, over in the ITK thread apparently Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are going to have storming seasons. At least this is about Spurs, if not Jack Grealish.

Maybe they won't know what the bottom line is until the financial year ends? No-one knows how many seats will be filled this financial year, how much income will come from food and drink in the new stadium, what the attendance figures will be etc. etc. The benefits will only start to be felt this time next year. It's frustrating, I agree, but that's the way it is.

The bottom line is... Tottenham will be competitive come what may. That is down to good overall management from Levy being the head (and others)

I just hope we get into good habits as a club of trusting our development squad, having a pathway for player to be integrated into the first team, us fans understanding the philosophy.

I suspect our shiny new toy is the new stunning stadium. That’s for a life time and one heck of a present that we all need to contribute to. The lack of the promised “brave” signings is frustrating especially when Poch in his own words has said he wants signings in before pre-season. However, let’s be realistic we’ve not done that since the Gazza days. Just doesn’t happen. Sensible economics prevents that. So we might as well sit back and let Poch somehow work his magic whilst Levy frustrates us.

But nobody is forcing you to pay. You do it for the love

Football should be for everyone. In the end high ticket pricess will exclude a huge part of the people supporting the club ending with a huge chunk of the seats beeing owned by companies wanting to take potential clients to games and tourists visiting. Football should be for families, single households, students etc poor or rich. And you can all talk about Spurs being a company that needs profit, but without there fans in the stadium spurs aint spurs.

Here's an idea, maybe we should wait until the transfer window is actually closed before we all start getting angry about a lack of spending........

In the meantime, does anyone have any other info about Jack Grealish?
