Poch has to want them, McArthey has just gained 1st team, Foster wants out because he is no longer 1st team, don't know their 3rd, but he is 3rd for a reason. They have to be good enough if called upon.
I don't really give a shit about who Poch wants as a third keeper who will maybe play 1 game a season.

This is the third time in the last 2 months there’s been a chat about this 3rd goalkeeper thing. It’s been done to death already and has nothing to do with Grealish signing.

that's because someone has mentioned 1 of the reasons for Grealish and him being HG, then the same posters saying the same thing over in reply, then posters like me that try to state the bloody obvious there aren't any English HG goalkeepers that want to be 2nd or 3rd choice

edit: perhaps I should of said there aren't any English HG goalkeepers good enough from the PL that would be okay with 2nd or 3rd choice. also if we replaced Vorm, Gazzaniga would expect to be promoted to 2nd, which then definitely means them being 3rd choice or we need to replace 2 keepers. is that clearer @Hakkz or if you still disagree explain why

Hg goale as third choice would seem sensible.

I do not believe that it's "bloody obvious" that you can't find a suitable HG keeper anywhere in England. I think it's bullshit.

If this thread was a civil war localised, I’d be chucking my family on the horse drawn cart and quickly and silently, arms full of family silver, fucking off as sudden as a Kalashnikov

Unless we're planning on playing Jack in nets, can we all shut the fuck up about goalkeepers?

Think you might have missed the itk on hg players the need to sell and big reason to buy grealish.

What do you want to talk about? Whether he pulls his socks up?

We can't discuss this stuff in the itk thread or spurs chat, this is it.

Or we can discuss the glory of Liverpool's transfer window like in every other thread. :shifty:

I have no idea, but there must be at least one english goalkeeper that could be our third choice.

Well I honestly don’t know of 1 English keeper that has enough or any PL experience that would want to be 3rd choice. Yes there are bound to be lots of English keepers in the lower divisions that would be happy to be 3rd choice, but we need one that’s a good keeper not crap.

Well myself I’m happy with the 3 keepers we have, and the possibility of signing Grealish to not only make up the HG numbers but believe he will shut up a lot of the moaners moaning that he isn’t good enough for a team hoping to go places.

All they ever want is star buys, and we just can’t accommodate 10 players earning the money star players want, especially if their arses are on a bench.

Partly my fault but probably shouldn't talk about goalkeepers in here.

if we had a youth keeper ready to make the step I could totally understand promoting 1, but as you say Gazzaniga might be seen as Vorm's eventual replacement until 1 is ready.

just to make the home grown up would be suicidal, imagine we have Lloris injured, Vorm gets injured v a shit team but we need to win to qualify for the KO's of the CL, those same fans would forget that statement and be calling for someone's head

Doesn’t really seem a big deal to me it’s not as if gazzaniga’s a world class or hugely experienced keeper he’s just average, playing someone from the youth team doesn’t mean the sky falls in. In fact gazzaniga fucked up in his only appearance for us but was lucky Zaha missed an open goal so he got away with it

It wouldn't surprise me if come next summer Heaton comes in for a couple of years to be our 3rd choice keeper behind Gazzaniga. He'll be 33 by then and might be happy with one last pay day and to train alongside some high class talent, especially if he struggles to get his starting spot back against Pope which I think he will

You are kidding. Someone who was supposedly ready for England as 3rd choice for us? At least 2nd choice and shift Vorm and replace with a decent young keeper - HG or otherwise.
