You're looking at facts alone and that isn't simply telling you the whole story. We may as well go sign Snodgrass if that was the case.

Grealish isn't the type to score goals aplenty, it's not his job. Were you disappointed in Modric's outlay of goals and assists?

Grealish will be a pivotal player because he can move the ball quicker into attack, he has excellent vision, superb awareness and he can carry the ball into dangerous areas - we currently don't have that other than Eriksen, who I'd say is more of a final third player anyway.
He's got superb technique, and has an attitude similar to Alli in that he is very cocksure about his ability, this is good IMO.

Dele cost us £5m, they want a rumoured £40m for Grealish who is four years further developed than Del when we signed him yet nowhere near as developed as a player as him. Some players just hit a ceiling and we can't be sure that hasn't happened with Jack, although I honestly don't believe it has

I really like the player I honestly think that if he got his move to Spurs he'd end up top class, but Villa got themselves in the shit and like with any business that does, they have to flog things and can't charge premium rates. I want Grealish at Spurs but honestly I make Levy right if he was prepared to pay c£20-£25m and they wanted £40.

That would pretty much equal our transfer record, and for a player that had one bite of the cherry at top level already yet as a kid didn't exactly take it by storm.

I want him signed but I won't put any blame towards Levy's doorstep for not paying nearly 50% more than a players actual worth based on his potential and his clubs financial plight. From a business perspective and as much as it pisses me off because I'd love to see Grealish at Spurs, he was probably right to do so. These latest developments at Villa were impossible to call, nobody has the ability to predict something like that would happen so I lean more on the side of making Levy right than getting pissed off with him wanting him raked over the coals for this one. Just how I see it when looking at the whole Grealish saga

If it’s £40 million, leave him to rot at Villa for another year. They sure as shit aren’t coming up next season so he’ll be running for the exit by next May if he has any ambitions of playing in Euro 2020.

Also don't get me wrong I make you right on all of Grealish's abilities but if Levy had forked out £40m on him I'd have thought he'd been spending too much time around Peter Risdale, especially with Villa's need to sell and the apparent lack of interested suitors making it a buyers market for the only club seriously in for him.

I think we'll still get him, but I don't blame Levy at all for having the clubs finances in mind when locked in a negotiation for a player with such an extortionate fee on his head. The fee should have been £25m and if Villa hadn't received this funding, they'd have probably ended up accepting £17.5m ish as the window drew to a close

100%. If he comes to Spurs he has a chance of becoming a serious player for England down the years at a really exciting time. If he stays at Villa he'll miss out on it all completely which I guess will show where his real ambitions lay.

Champions League football, the chance to challenge for titles, and a role at a club that will give you exposure in a position that the national team is crying out for withnregards to a creative midfielder who's a little cocksure and has an edge. Tottenhams the perfect club for him, especially with Dembele coming to the end and whilst I really admire his loyalty, he'll only end up looking back on his career at this really choice time and wonder what if.

If he's willing to waste another year at Villa when he has Spurs and Pochettino opportunity then I question whether it's worth buying him. He need to have the ambition and drive to improve if he's going to reach his potential and the level needed to success at top football. Grealish should push for this move.

To being funny but we shouldn't be paying more than £20-£25m on an unproven championship youngster that hasn't taken the next big step by the age of 22 if you ask me.

£40m is a disgusting price to put on the head of a youngster purely based on their potential. Even though I'd love to see a prospect like Grealish sign there's every chance the pace and power of the Premier League could be something he struggles with and I think based on all parties involved and the situations that exist that this deal should be £20m, £25m tops
Agreed 25m and a loan or two max

Of course. ?

Steve Bruce has admitted all transfers are on hold until he meets the new owners on Tuesday. Nobody will leave on the cheap. Bruce says ‘everyone was for sale’ until yesterday. He wants to carry on as manager. [bbc wm] #avfc

Bruce: "If we have to sell them then at least we get the right price for them and can move forward. When you are up against it and hanging your dirty washing out in public then the vultures are circling and ready to nick your assets."

Bruce: "At least that is not going to be the case – well I know that is not going to be the case – because I have had that conversation already. So if anybody is going to buy one of our players now they are going to have to pay a premium."

Bruce's comments make for really grim reading. Really hope the ITK is on regarding Grealish being virtually done

Steve Bruce was then asked the valuation for #thfc target Jack Grealish, to which he replied: "It is only what somebody else is prepared to pay. I know for a fact from the new investors anybody wanting to buy Jack Grealish will not buy him on the cheap."

Can’t see this one happening now

Only positives right now is that ITK is saying it's as good as done, and multiple ITKs at that. Hopefully there isn't a late twist..
