The difference is you're a spurs fan not a villa fan.
Le tissier, bull, i have far more respect for them than the anelkas of this world.

If we can get a deal done great but i will respect him less if he throws his toys out of the pram to get a move.

You have more respect for Le Tiss granted but what did staying at Southampton get for Le Tissier? A job on Sky Sports and the occasional greeting at half time at St Marys? Yes he'll stay in Southampton fans thoughts but if he had made his move which wasn't bigger than the one Grealish gets to make he could have been up there with the likes of who knows but he'll never know what could have been for him now.

I admire their loyalty, I really do it's a much needed and dying trait in the world, I just think that Jack owes it to himself as a professional to think long and hard about the pros and cons should the move potentially arise as football isn't what it used to be and chances at big clubs where you could be pushing for the 1st XI from the very off don't come around easily anymore. The top 6 barring us and the goons buy the finished article now. They let smaller clubs take risks on potentials. As I said it's ultimately up to Tottenham, Villa & Grealish but a move like this now when there's a slot free in a top 3 in the country teams midfield could give him another 4-5 years playing at the top end of the football food chain instead of languishing in relegation battles, Checkatrade Trophies or yo-yoing around the leagues. He's had one good season for Villa, this kind of chance to test himself may never come around again

So are you saying that if RM come in for Kane tomorrow and offered us £200m you wouldn’t be worried about him going because 1, he will earn double if not treble his wages, a very good chance of having success and would still play and captain England?

Some player have a massive tyre to a team, and the possibility however small it is, 1 day he might just win a trophy for a team he has grown up with, supported, and played for. Loyalty in my eyes means so much in a player, just take a look at your profile picture. It’s not always about money, and it’s not always about possible trophies.

We will get Grealish. I am certain about that given how badly we need Home grown players. If we dont sign him or Zaha, we lose likes of Lamela or Foyth in PL & CL
Doesn't just keeping Onomah in the squad achieve the same thing?
I'm like 80% sure that's not the way it works, but not 100% so i could well be wrong tbh.

If we take our CL registered squad from the knockout stages last season as what it could look like this season then I'm pretty sure there is no room for non-HG players whatsoever, regardless of whether we add Zaha, Grealish or Onomah. To add another non-HG player to the squad, be it Foyth, GKN, Janssen, or a new signing, then I think we would have to remove a non-HG player that was already in the registered squad last season.

Haha the more I wrote in this post the less sure I became. I actually just changed 99% sure to 80% sure and it's getting even lower now. I could be wrong.

Doesn’t matter. Villa are strongly breaking ffp. Rules are an owner cannot bail them out.

They need to generate cash. Grealish is their main asset and we are their top suitor.

We still hold many cards.
But we hold less now, you cant dress this up as good news, it's going to cost us a lot more money.

No Onomah in USA tour squad, wonder if he's being loaned back to Villa as part of this deal.
If he's not injured that means he's definitely off somewhere. Either loan to villa which we've heard he wasn't keen on. Or possible premium loan which he was said to be looking for. Could tie in with itk saying progress by Wednesday.

Where have I said that I wouldn't be worried if Real Madrid came in for Kane? I think you're missing the point in all fairness.

Kane is a global star and has achieved that playing in our shirt. Of course playing for Real Madrid is different but at Spurs he has achieved all that he has so far and we've given him the platform to do that. Grealish wouldn't get noticed walking down the street a street in Barcelona if it wasn't for a British tourist noticing who he is.

The step up from Villa to Tottenham these days is a very big one, not just in footballing terms. We consistently have the most players in the England squad and if you become a star you're constantly linked with the pinnacle of club football clubs globally. At Villa you get to play against George Friend.

Grealish gets a chance to break into a top 4 first team, competing on the same pitches at the Real Madrids & Manchester United's of this world this year should the move happen. That chance may never come around again for him should it not happen this time around

If wonder if maybe more likely Onomah on loan to palace. There was talk of players going in the Zaha deal, plus palace need to replace RLC after his loan last year.

the way you replied to @Lilbaz about what Le Tiz achieved, read that then think how you see our top players or any player

Palace and Fulham in for Grealish also, according to The Mirror.

Villa fans on twitter now also convinced they won't sell Grealish for anything less than £50m because "they're minted" now.

Unfortunately I share a house with a villa fan, thinks there gonna go out and sign a load of players now doesn’t seem to get the concept of ffp

If JG want to help Villa, whay not ask for a transfer and give up his 5% fee, or is that not true anymore.
He (and any other player) may want to help out his boyhood club like Bull etc, but when their career is on the wane most clubs will move them on and not offer a contract, works both ways I know.
Perhaps the player himself should be a little more selfish, he has 7-8 seasons left at the top.

I still think we'll sign Grealish, but it'll drag on until deadline day now I reckon. Can't see it happening this week anymore. Nobody is going to pay £40m for him and Villa will most likely reluctantly accept around £30m from us.
