I wonder what substantially more than £20m is ? 30M ?
Bit of a gamble at that higher end, to say the least.
No, but we signed Dele for 5mil so it was worth the punt. 30mil is not a fucking punt.Would it have been a stupid figure for Dele, if we were signing him from Dons now instead of then? Genuine question.
We won't know until we hear if he is going to be an England starter or if it is embarrassing we are after him.So wait is Levy tight or is he spending too much on a championship player?

The roller coaster never stops pal.I thought you and tiger established that 200 pages ago ffs

That's not really an answer to the question.
It's a case of whether you think he'd be worth paying a league one (now league two) club £30m for him, if you knew he would be good.
That's the position the club will be in. Of course they don't know, but they will need to make a call based on what they think he will be like

It’s getting hard to keep up with what agenda we’ve got going on in which thread
I like the look of him but is he realistically going to get much playing time this season. Only have to look at the limited use of Moura last season, especially as we keep hearing he's not a first choice signing.
Levy must be pleased if Poch really wants Grealish as he's a perfect fit into Levy's preferred transfer strategy of young and English.
We cornered ourselves on this one as we thought we could get Grealish for cheap. Seems it backfired on us.Should of signed Maddison instead if we were looking for an Eriksen alternative. Shits over grealish for goals and assists.
This is a game that's played so regularly it's getting boring. When the player finally signs, AV claim the transfer fee is £30 million or so, which was "too good to refuse". The actual deal is probably £15 million, paid in stages, with £5 million if he gets to play for the England senior team, another £5 million if Spurs will the Champions League and another £5 million if he wins both the Euroxision Song Contest and the Nobel Peace Prize. Both Spurs and Villa reassure their fans that they got the better deal, and no-one is any the wiser. (It used to be far less fiun when we were a PLC and we had to release the actual figures to the City....)Would be a fucking stupid figure for a championship player.
