How long do clubs usually take the respond to an offer? Hope we can know if it's accepted tonight.

It won’t be accepted.

How are you so sure? There are no other offers on the table and tomorrow is the last full day of the transfer window. They don't sell now it looks like they will fail ffp which will cost their owners a fortune and probably any chance of getting in the prem if they get a points deduction.
They have already been spending the money by the looks of it and we usually wait until we know the bid will be accepted before making a formal bid.

You might be right but it's not 100% that it will be rejected.

On a side note why do we make bids late at night? Is it a tactic by levy? Get them while they are tired stretch them out till they just give in through exhaustion?

This is retarded. Is this meant to be tactical?

The price has been somewhere between 25 and 30 for the entire bloody window. Why have we waited till now?

God this is annoying. We’ll end up paying somewhere between 28 and 30, which we could have done before the World Cup.

You're right, this doesn't sound like something we'd normally do.... :cautious:

I posted a link from about 10 days ago from the Birmingham Mail that he’s ours for £25m or thereabouts. We seem to have taken an age to give it a go.

Tottenham finally make bid for Aston Villa's Jack Grealish worth up to £25m

Tottenham Hotspur have finally made their move for Jack Grealish after making a bid worth up to £25m on Tuesday night.

Daniel Levy, the Spurs chairman, is pushing to sign the Aston Villaattacking midfielder before Thursday’s transfer deadline by tabling a firm offer.

Grealish, 22, has been a priority target for Mauricio Pochettino in this window and Spurs are hopeful of finalising a deal in the next 24 hours.

Villa have adopted a hardline stance over Grealish’s future following the takeover by new owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens last month.

Villa rate the former England Under-21 international at over £30m, yet Spurs believe their bid is a good one.

Spurs have noted that James Maddison went to Leicester for an initial £21m and feel their offer for Grealish represents his value.

As reported by Telegraph Sport, Grealish is open to the prospect of joining Spurs as he wants to play Champions League football under Pochettino, despite his love for his boyhood club Villa.

Even without my Spurs bias, I think it would be pretty cruel by Villa to deny him the move. They're a Championship club, it's a pretty good fee, the lad wants to come and Poch has a great reputation for bringing through progressive English talents.

I mean I can't exactly believe we would be 'stunned' they want over £30m when we'd obvs know their price and it's been in the media for about a month.

Jack Grealish transfer: Tottenham lodge £25m bid - but Aston Villa want in excess of £30m

The north Londoners have offered £25m for the midfielder but were last night stunned to learn Villa want over £30m

Spurs are growing impatient with Aston Villa over Jack Grealish.

The north Londoners have offered £25m for the midfielder but were last night stunned to learn Villa want over £30m before they will be prepared to allow Grealish to leave.

Grealish is understood to be concerned that he could be priced out of the move.

Why do I feel less confident about this deal now that it's actually been announced we've put a bid in? Spurs ffs.
