Ah SSN getting ready for deadline day I see.

It will be on and off several more times to them tomorrow to keep the viewers and the clicks. They do it every deadline day. Don't get roped in.

Levy is a fan though, he’s been going to the lane for 50 years. Just because you disagree with the way he goes about transfers doesn’t mean it’s anymore YOUR club
Alright mate, up to you if you just accept how things have gone on the past 2 months. But sorry, I want the club to push on and win. Top 4 on it's own is no longer satisfying enough, we need a trophy and sustain a better title challenge. This won't happen unless we are more ambitious in the transfer market. Sick and tired of deluded fans that still back this man, it's quite clear he doesn't want to make marquee signings, just trying to penny-pinch around for a Championship player for 60 days. How does this make sense? A champions league club with a brand new stadium and one of the hottest teams in Europe being turned down by a Championship club?

Villa have us by the short hairs and they know it. They are well aware we've signed nobody and time is running out.

I mean if you look at what's come out, it pretty much looks like direct quotes from their new chairman.

Just waiting for the 'They're doing it for Sky Bet' before the yearly reminder that Sky Bet and Sky Sports are owned by different companies.

If you don’t think these two companies are linked your deluded. If you look at history of both the parent companies over the years, you’ll clearly see they are.

I know they’re definitely linked but I find it hilarious how people deluded themselves into believing that every negative Spurs related story is due to Sky Bet

It's amazing how many twists and turned have happened for something that has not happened (yet).

Grealish deal is not dead. Of course it isn't. The owners would not be that stupid to ignore the FFP warnings issued to them. Plus, Grealish and his agent will have a say in this.

Whatever we pay for him he will be worth more in a short space of time.
After a few decent games and goals he'll be worth in excess of £30m.

Yeah I agree, just wanted to make it clear that they are connected even if the “owner” are not the same people.

Their stake was 20% so not big.

So they'd make up all this stuff, including supposed quotes from the chairman of Villa, thus damaging their credibility, to attract more bets to Sky Bet, who are owned by a different company.

No, they wouldn't. People need to stop being ridiculous.

I don't think I said that. However, Sky Sports News is an entertainment channel, designed to generate revenue through advertising on both web and broadcast channels.

As a result their scale is obviously tipping farther towards commercial responsibilities than journalistic credibility. It's not a bad thing at all but lets not pretend that it is some gold standard, like a sports version of Bloomberg when it is just just a sports version of Fox News

BREAKING NEWS

Sky sources: Jack Grealish remains keen to move to Spurs and is desperate to test his skills in the Champions League.
Grealish, who trained with the Villa squad this morning, was due to complete a £25m move to Spurs until Villa's new owner, Nassef Sawiris intervened.
