Absolutely right brother. I getting tired of these Levy sympathisers, "wait till tomorrow before you meltdown, beddwetters etc" Dumb mother fuckers mate.

I appreciate Levy for the stadium and stuff but he needs to find someone new to conduct transfer business

And you don't think transfer business and 'stadium stuff' are linked? Where do you imagine the money comes from?

We are where we are due to astute off-field management. Astonished how quickly some people forget this.

Yea, he's just popped up on the BBC transfer feed. Well, seems the owners over at Villa are playing silly buggers.

We weren't selling Berbatov to Man Utd until roughly 10pm on deadline day if I remember correctly.

Why are people still posting in this thread?

Last time I checked this deal was completely dead because sky, the transfer gods, said so and anyone saying it wasn’t was deluded?

300!

GF posted in Transfer Thread that things are kicking off between Grealish and AV. He was told he'd be sold if 25M bid came in, so that's what we bid. They denied.

Wonder who is advising those at Villa's top table ... Still a deal to be done by the sounds of it.

Absolutely right brother. I getting tired of these Levy sympathisers, "wait till tomorrow before you meltdown, beddwetters etc" Dumb mother fuckers mate. Our window should have been mainly sorted a while back, especially in regards to Grealish, and today and tomorrow should have been the icing on the cake in case a superstar became available.
Market is difficult- Everyone else is managing
Clubs don't want to sell- try, and if it doesn't work out, Cut your losses and move on to the next. Maybe offer more money
Cheaper at the end of window - It's also a cluster fuck where you could end up with shit

I don't need a land management degree from Cambridge, and been the chairman of a football club for 15 years to know that Levy's transfer mo is whack.

Don't post his success, I don't give a fuck, you all know if he flashed the cash we could of had those players and then some, maybe even won something. Maybe we would have been less wealthy, but who gives a fuck. As long as he keeps the finances in ok shape, I don't.
I'm tired of winning the net spend league, or the wages to turnover league.

Before you start throwing insults around you might want to see if now is a good time to be banned for member abuse? Your call.

These guys sound like new owners who want to make their mark by looking like they can push around the biggest, baddest negotiator in the game.
Maybe, it's just odd that this is all happening now. They must be taking some advice from somewhere, they're new to football at least, right?

To be honest. If we keep Dembele till contract end and buy Grealish next season wouldn't hinder us much, football wise or financially.

Grealish is not world class, he's done well in the championship and only a marginal improvement on Winks in my mind.

If Dembele leaves next summer we get no fee but Grealish will have a year remaining so Villa won't be demanding £35m. The fee we'd lose from Dembele would be made up by the discount to Grealish ultimately.

Not convinced he'll come in and significantly upgrade our team so would only pursue if there's a good deal there.

Ultimately I'd prefer Eriksen deeper now we have more attacking talent and Dembele/Winks/Sissoko/Dier offer us different options for a more defensive approach or physicality.

Jorge Mendes (well known hater of Levy because Levy refuses to buy his players) and Peter Kenyon (well known hater of Levy because Levy made him look a mug when getting £10m out of Chelsea for a DoF Frank Arnesen back in 2005, and also because Levy is a far more convincing bald super villain).

Sounds like they're new which means they probably aren't getting advised but are doing this out of inexperience and pride. They wanna show the football world they're not to be pushed around. Though alienating your star player sounds like a horrible way to do things.

I mean if they sell him they look like all mouth and no action and if they keep him they've pissed off their best player all for their own rep.

Getting £25m for Grealish from Levy, wouldn't make them look bad, at all.

It's bold what they are doing but with that news breaking about them going back on an 'agreement' with Grealish and his party, don't look great, does it? I guess we can file this under the 'it's business' section. Football, it's a funny old game (on and off the pitch!)
